  1. Looks well enough to me, but if you are feeding the dry stuff you could try mixing a tin of sardines in tomato sauce in with the food, I add one 2 or 3 times a week, the little value ones from Tesco 34p and crammed in like sardines, puts a bit more condition on a dog and my dogs are over half saluki blooded atb
  2. I know mate that's the way I used to do it , but it's not working now for some reason, cheers
  3. Tried that mate, no joy cheers anyway
  4. I remember gary hosker writing about pendle hill years ago in the cmw, reckoned you needed a durable dog for the hares down there
  5. Cannot get my pics onto here from photobucket, anyone else had any problems ?
  6. Naive and full of patter, wonder if he had any decent venison recipes
  7. My old saluki saturated bitch was equipped with a set of snow shoes like that, she could catch rabbits on steep grassy banks and ran the arable well enough, just wish I'd had her from a pup rather than taking her off the carousel, only ever had one toe injury after running down a bank onto a road on the back of a strong one, must say her pups were a good bit better than her and had well knuckled compact feet
  8. As pattinson says only make believe believe lurchers can catch deer, he must have been the last of the great lurchermen
  9. Try getting off your bike and running with the pups see how you feel, it's far too easy to sit on your chuff clocking up the miles,it's too humid to breathe never mind give a pup roadwork
  10. Anyone running pups out of Scruff or got any pictures, heard he's lined a few bitches....cheers
  11. Don't know about broken glass, but I'd rather run my dog on hot coals than some of the stubble fields up here
  12. Get them trotting up on their toes at their own natural pace, used to trot my dogs at around 6 mph non stop for 5 miles or mixed it up with a bit of free running on some grass fields with a few hedgeside rabbits to add a bit of interest, 3 or 4 times a week, other days give them beach exercise/long country walks
  13. Lovely pup that, too bad it's not brindle it could have made a winter mouse hound pre ban
  14. Has'nt this show been moved up to alnwick this year on this sunday
  15. Give the untouchables a shout they'll put you onto the old bootlegger
  16. Give Socks on here a shout, think he runs a nice collie cross, might know someone who breeds a decent line atb
  17. Ripped and ready she'll be a good age to start roll on September
  18. The dog looked steady when running out in the open, but seemed to pick it up a bit when the hare got on the track or near cover, but like with any dog if it is in the right hands they will learn their trade to the best of their ability
  19. 8 month old and trained like that, how much do you charge for dog training lessons squire
