    I've done it many times over and you need the outlet for large numbers when you get them in numbers, no use killing to leave them rotting or sat in the freezer for months on end, Plucky I know large hauls can be achieved, but the question is can a living be made from working a lurcher ?, not in the real world, and certainly not in todays climate

    I dare say many have tried and failed, walking the windy land night after night in winter trying to catch enough game to make ends meet would soon take it's toll, the only way to make a living that includes working a lurcher is if you are being paid as a pest controller, rather than from trying to sell your moody catch, though if you are being paid to clear rabbits etc, and have willing buyers then you could be looking at a far rosier existence

    Wouldn't believe anything they say, watched the one from Dumfries a few months back, that Martin gadgeywas on about the river nith and salmon. There was that many inaccuracies from him it was unbelievable, for example did you know the salmon that run the Nith come from Norway? Don't you realise these people are university graduates, they would'nt be on the box unless they were the top people in their field

    That's the thing, unless a dog has had an accident, or been picked up by someone they will find their way back to where they last saw you, after having saluki bred dogs for over ten years, i've seen my fair share of this, had dogs missing for over an hour, and that feels like a very long time, usually away after the roe

    Hope she turns up soon mate, my bitch has been running out of the beam and hunting away when out lamping lately, the cloud cover has been making for bright nights, and it's easy for the dogs to get away on a strong runner atb

    My saluki saturated bitch is built like a bull, i have added pasta and veg to her food in the past, but i rate lard more than anything else for keeping the packing on, and she always eats that before touching the raw meat or greyhound meal

    Cheers king, my old dog poached my bag of raw fish then spewed it all back up the greedy oaf, that was'nt mackerel though lol

    Got some frozen mackerel from the fish quay, guts still in, and heads and tails on, does anybody feed their dogs with them like that, and are they keen to eat totally raw fish ?

    Sounds like you are making a pretty good go at becoming a keeper as it is mate, that could be a good thing, there's some real rum characters out there masquerading as keepers, window lickers with unresolved whisky issues etc

    had one of my dogs blasted with a lecky fence she acts funny on the same land when ever i go there she still does her job but she can still defo remember .I remember quickly brushing my hand over an electric fence 1 day.no shock so thought great it must be off.Climbing over fence line between my legs grabbed it to push it lower and feck me what a jolt.felt like the bones in my arm were rattling lol Mr Weale tells of a story about getting his package zapped when stepping over an electric fence, he reckons his eyes were watering for a fortnight
