  5. All sound advice, try and take it steady, And always watch the dogs reaction to what you get it to do.... slow and steady is best, if you rush the process the dog may never come outta being gunshy, due to a fear being inbuilt for good, and fight or flight will always go through the dogs mind. Snap.
  6. Indeed Ian have a good day mate.. best wishes Snap.
  7. i'm sure if you look about you can get an 85 in .204 although the ruger M77 is more accurate, but is floor plate instead of mag, i'm speaking from experience as my mate change to a sako from the ruger, for teh mag feed, but had nothing but issues with it, he's now shooting a howa in a B&C stock, but he says and i've seen the ruger to bee the most accurate and least fussy to reload for.
  8. Got ultrasonics in the landy, and the bloody wind will even set it off....lol got back up power And one hell of a thump when the alarm goes off....lol Its also key coded so wont start with hot wiring, nice and safe, So much so i can leave it unlocked sometimes by mistake and the sat nav's still there in the morning...!!! Don't you just love small towns...
  9. just a little dark i think but only a tad, nice imaginative thought though... Snap.
  10. you will not be disappointed with the scope, good clarity, well built, positive tracking, if its in good nick its a good price, my mate has a few on his guns, and they really are good, also in the 6.5x20x50 range.... Snap.

Then your outta there, Most have long hours mate in the working week, but it pays the bills, i work mon to fri on week one and mon to sat week 2 also, the job prospects are there to progress up the ladder if you wish in the warehouse, i'd go for it, In this day and age its a job mate and full time.... not to be sniffed at... good luck with your decision. i know which i'd go for. 15. Not been out foxing much at all this year yet, apart from the start of september, only been out to the deer once, just to much on ATM.... Seems its the same on all the forums though, ATB. Snap.
  16. Its not the fault of all ethnicities in england for the problems that we are facing europe wide, but that of the goverment, who has made so many silly laws to TRY in integrate them into our culture.... i mean taking pigs outta farm sets for christs sake, its countryside living, and many farm children grow up with such animals, just one example of society gone mad......... i too would put a hard battle up againest someone trying to change the culture i grew up with, And i agree that those entering any country seeking employment or refuge, that they firstly respect the culture
  17. culture ends and racist views begin when we are one minded in our views, and only then when they effect social situations in which others are a part of.... loathing a culture because you don't like it is one thing but to act on your thoughts ie. calling someone racist names ie... wog, pakkie, coon, paddy, spink, etc, Is not accetable in everyday living, same applies for any religion, race, creed, no matter where they are in the world... IMHO. Snap.
  18. Hi mate, think you'd be better off charging something for him as too many on here and other sites would only take advantage and maybe try to sell him on.... he's a lovely looking thing good luck i hope he gets a good home... Snap.
  19. I'm not trying to say your mates a bad engineer, my father is one of the best really skilled in all areas of engineering, but no way would i let him near my gun, its not doubting his ability, But what happens god forbid if you mate messes up your barrel, will he stand over it...? i know plenty gunsmiths who stand over what they do.. you don't say what exact barrel profile you have other than heavy barrel, So info will be limited, good luck Snap.
  20. As above, i've seen some disasters of threading jobs by "great machinests" the thread has to be two things, square to the bore and not the OD of the barrel, and of a size and thread suitable to the barrel one man i saw cut 1/2" 20 into ALL barrels....!!!!! even heavy profiles, My advice is take it to a gunsmith, for 100 quid or so its cheap, whereas if he makes a mess of it, its cut and inch of the barrel, thread and recrown, and that only means more money...... Snap.
  21. i've sent a few bits and pieces free to folk on here, And they've always got them, But i suppose there are the few who will say they never recieved items so they don't have to pay for them...!!!! Sour deals should be highlighted so others can be aware of those who are not, shall we say HONEST..... Snap.
  22. The funeral was 3 days after i'd had knee surgery, all the Doctors said i couldn't carry his coffin. Yeah right, no way i wasn't doing it. Good thread this, no bitching. NIce change isn't it, sorry to hear of your loss... Snap.
