  2. i would wait about a minute just to be extra safe, that way its in the barrel and controled if it does go off, had a guy misfire once on a military range, stood up during a live firing turned around to us, with the weapon, and said its jamed, only to be jumped on by about 6 people, it was one of our first times on the range and his last.......... i can still hear the quatermaster shooting at him......
  3. plus watching wildlife for real is far better than on the telly. correct mate, Was it a waste of time no, never is, plus you can go over all the problems that need sorting with no-one bending your ear, or thinking what could i do different the next time......

  7. if your going for a D2 and it's anywherer near 100,000 miles get the fuel pump changed as part of the deal........or a reduced price on one if pushed...... believe me
  8. I am not convinced there is a best fox caller! There are loads on the market from a few, to hundreds of £££'s and loads of people just use lips, hands greaseproof paper, polystyrene, etc etc, and different land favours different calls..try what you have and see how it works for you no better answer than that really, because different calls work in different places....try and see, leaving a break in between make it seem like a real animal in distress, is the best advice i can give, i see people too laving digital calls on for 4 or 5 mins solid and wondering why they see nothin
  9. very nice there Mr. A the sako is looking the business. at what ranges where you firing,
  10. i hope you got plenty off money for the backup service too, as the disco 3 is sore on bushings, it riddled with little niggling problems, how do i know a relative works for a land rover dealer, believe me i was thinking off one also they are a great machine but due to all the little problems i wouldn't touch one..........
  11. i had one of the first cz americans in ireland, it was that new the firearms dept. in dublin rang me to see what it was twice, it took me over a year to get the licence for it due to this fact. there were no aftermarket parts to be had and ammo was as scarce as hens teeth. the accuracy was good but the trigger a little heavy so i got a mate to lighten it with a little filing and polishing, and its not bad now, I noticed a few flyers now and again and had plenty of experience with centrefire rifles i checked to see if the bull barrel was free floating which it was well just abo
  12. this may help you mate.... http://www.browningint.com/intro.html http://www.browning.com/products/catalog/f...&catalog_=B good luck...........
  13. practice is the key to knowing any firearm, limit your shooting until you can call the shots, for instance, place a target at 100 yards and practice until you can confidently shoot within a certain size group, say 1 1/2 inches then the same at 200 say 2 1/2 to 3 inches you will soon gain confidence when you can do this then move to live quarry at say within 100 to 150 to start off.......good luck
  14. .22 hornet on a rabbit will still make a mess, alot more power in the .223 but you could always head shot them......plus i thought it was an exclusive fox gun or almost, plus if you build up theexperience the .223 will go beyond the 200 no problem......
  15. the hornet is a great calibre as said, but in the future the round is being phased out due to poor demand, which means the manufactures will stop producing the rounds, this will be done over a period of time, just when we don't know for sure, if your planning on learning to shoot foxy and this will be a first then there is nothing better to cut your teeth on..... i suggest you look at a .223, but thats just me..........good luck
  16. it's like a summers day here both yesterday and today, very very mild for the time of year........
  17. This is general talk WHICH MEANS, anything and everything, we had this disscussion a while back too, Water off a ducks back now Snapps , you get used to the nit picking after a while It shouldn't have to be water of a ducks back kay that's the whole point of gereral talk, just that, general, and if people can't figure that much out then that's too bad.... all the other topics as far as i read are mainly hunting threads so i don't think it to bad, If you want nothing but hunting stick to the related topics on each thread, or buy a magazine..............................
