  1. Draw up a letter of your own stating that the company will not divulage the information given to them in trust, and that the information will be held in strictest confidence, and get them to sign it........... What job do you do when they are looking at medical history, forklift driver maybe, or machines, did you have to divulage medical info, on getting the job?... get info from citizens advice somehow before you go in.......... good luck.
  2. Welcome guys hope you enjoy the site.........
  3. Excellent gun for the money very accurate, and well built, change the trigger for about 12 pound from rimfiremajic. and your off....
  4. if you shop around you will save over 50% on bullet cost, now the initial cost of setting up will be expensive, go quality from the off and you won't need to change any bits and pieces later on. the real upside is you can make accurate bullets that suit your gun, and will have greater choice of velocity range which you want, i normally just shoot what is most accurate....
  5. How much am I looking at for one of those? Can't find any info anywhere! make enqueries here for price, http://www.rimfiremagic.co.uk/ i think about 299, but you won't buy a better mod. for that money. my friend has traded in a ruger .204 for the new sako 85 in .204, he has taken bunnies at over 350 yards and foxes out to just over 200, So i'm not sure what they will be likw at around 400, if i get a chance i'll run some ballsitics on energy for you. at 400.
  6. i use the lightforce lance, good for 400 yards and the striker good for 600 yards,
  7. logic if you are starting to reload try the .243, excellent for both long range and short range, try the A-tec mod but be quick as they are getting scarce, and the maker is supplying the army so will be flat out with their production. reloading ammo, no problem to head shot rabbits id you need them to 200 yards, 58 grain v-max accurate as heck. Now long range foxy 87 grain v-max, 70 grain blitzking, with mod on the .243 is very quiet, but the .204 is an excellent long range calibre 400 not to sure though, reloading is the way, and i would suggest you give the .243 the option, my cho
  8. This does happen at times mate, you lucky sod...... leaves things nice and handy for you........
  9. looks like your ready for action there............
  10. Some heavy question there mate, and even heavier reading to find out the answer... http://www.nennstiel-ruprecht.de/bullfly/index.htm take some painkillers before you read this you'll need them...
  11. the only thing the rifling is doing is putting rotation on the bullet as it goes down the barrel, there is no spirial motion involved..... however if the bullet is not made concentric in the factory, then a small ammount of helical rotation may come into play, but the effect will be minimal... So he is in effect partly right......
  12. when you put the mod on or take it off, it's barrel harmonics playing the part of shifting the POI. As well as sometimes there will be a slight increase in velocity with fitting a mod.... So all these factors will change the POI. now if you shoot a light fast bullet, and then shoot a slow heavier bullet the the slower heavier bullet will hit lower on the target, Most heavier bullets are slower. So gravity takes more effect, As its acting on the bullet for a longer period of time to the target. Even shooting bullets of the same weight but made by different companies, the powder burn r
  13. i mormally stop in the middle of march as i have things normally under control by then, but if a problem arises i sort it for the farmers.
  14. save your money and put it to the extra ammo used in zeroing, they are not that accurate, only designed to get you on paper, once you get the jist of zeroing your scope a few rounds is all that will be required... and 1 round if only to check zero......... i have seen a few used they are now orniments sitting in their box.... As for checking zero before trip you should have no need to once zeroed, personally wouldn't use one hope this helps. Snap. had to edit this a few times as i've a bursting sore head here...........sorry...
  15. you more than made up for a blank nights foxing there mate.....good on you
  16. the only trouble with the plate is he scare's the crap out of himself when he finishes his cornflakes............... couldn't resist mate.....
  17. try the 95 grain sst's by hornady, also nosler partition in 95 grain, excellent on reds.....
  18. Where i shoot it would be impossible to hunt the fox with dogs, as the ground is simply unsuitable, mostly small fields with alot of gorse, rushes etc, As to saying no skill point and shoot i do not agree.... for trying to shoot a fox at distance reqiures skill of the utmost, once you miss a fox on the lamp you can be sure he won't hang about the second time a lamp is put on him, So then you gotta up your game, range, dial in the windage, bullet drop, lamp on, find fox, range again bang, I've got the utmost respect for all hunting sports but having to justify why we shoot to mem
  19. i would suggest you buy outside london if its anything like dublin price wise, and also maybe sell your scope through here or in the free ads, the net is a good way of finding out prices, from different stores and if you like the look of it then check your local gun dealers to see them in the flesh. Snap.
  20. As said buy the best you can afford but you should be looking at spending some decent money, don't go cheap as its a false economy...... you will only need to change at a later date, i would go for a variable power scope personally as your rifle has the ability to reach out to 300 yards and over, fixed power will make the target rather small at those distances........ if you can't afford new go secondhand but go quality............
  21. nice start to the new year there mate sorry to hear about the virus's.... try down loading avira anti virus, spybot, and cc cleaner, from here should get you sorted got me up a running again http://www.download.com/windows/security-s...tent;contentNav
