Let's hope he doesn't end up like Jocky Wilson. Or Best or Gazza. Obesity and darts seem to go hand in hand. Luke's body is a coronary waiting to happen. On the other hand, there was something ' f**k yeah' about snooker and darts when they used to be played by blokes with a spare tyre, a fag and Pint. Lol

Littler seems to have the temperament to go with his God given talent. One is no good without the other. Its amazing how he handles the media, the adulation and the pressure of the big tournaments. I remember somebody asking Rooney how he coped and he said 'I just knew I was the best player on the pitch when I played for Everton at 16.' I think it's the same with this lad. He knows he has got it. Long may he continue.

Part of the problem with the riots was that people perceived that asylum seekers were being treated better than they were. Nobody ever asks why are British people are treated so badly. We think it's normal to be dumped on by the government.

I have no sympathy for the people who tried to set fire to hotels housing people. Out of order completely. At the end of the day they were human beings and didn't deserve to be burnt alive. The only crime they had committed was seeking asylum. If that makes me a bleeding heart liberal and part of the problem then OK . I have every sympathy for those who who were jailed for speaking their minds. That was Orwellian. Completely over the top by the state.

How's this for a sob story. Me and my kid sister suddenly found ourselves facing homelessness when my mother died. I was sixteen but legally an adult. The council forced us out of my mother's tenancy and housed us miles away in Rochdale in the pig sty known as Ashfield Valley flats. It was literally the heroin capital of Europe. Jeremy Kyle people dealing and shooting up right outside our door. The lifts smelt of piss ,were often out of order and the stairwells were terrifying places at night. We once got home to find the piss poor plyboard front door caved in and some of our clothes st

I don't think it's a secret that Indians of whatever sect generally hate Pakistanis and vice versa. Hence the Act of Partition which split the two groups into two. There are tensions between Christianity and Islam dating back to the crusades and for all I know before the crusades. There's a group called ISIS which is a troublesome organisation to say the least. Lol. So why are the authorities scared of an inquiry? We know there are black and Muslim no _go areas in the north of England. We know that Muslim men commit a disproportionate number of sex crimes. The stats are there to prov

Very true. But how were people to know they were were being raped and or tortured? I for one was too innocent to suspect the girls were suffering .It's mindblowing stuff. I don't think we should beat ourselves up. Unlike the various professionals who knew for certain what was going on and sat on their hands. A lot of comments have been made about not wanting to upset Muslims or Muslim voters But surely the vast majority of Muslims were just as disgusted as the rest of us. Catholic and Protestant clerics have also abused on an industrial scale. But where there have been prosecutions I'm no

She's the parliamentary secretary for safeguarding and violence against women. Each year she reads a list of the names of women murdered by their male partners. Good for her. She describes herself as a feminist. Good for her. Why then has she REFUSED a public inquiry into grooming gangs? How hypocritical can you get? Elon Musk says she should be "in prison"for her decision and Kemi Badenoch says she is a "disgrace." Not normally a fan of either of these two but I share their disbelief and outrage. There are a LOT of unanswered questions with regard to the grooming gangs an

I was just discussing that. New Years eve in Edinburgh is absolutely huge. The decision will lose a lot of money for a lot of people.

I was on holiday in Gran Canaria just recently. There was a van/ car community near the hotel. They used to party on cheap wine. I asked them what the score was and they said they were priced out of accommodation because of tourists like me. They worked ........in the tourist industry. So it was a never ending circle. They also blamed the government. Seemed a decent life to me. They had a community vibe and they had the climate.

He looks like he's hitting the booze. Man U would give him a job coaching at some level. He's lives in an incredible mansion in the North. What would possess him to live in a hotel in Plymouth when his wife and kids are based in the North? I hope he doesn't end up another Best or Gazza.

Yup, no complaints And an Englishman. One of only two in the premier league.

You are right. I've just turned my telly off. Man U lacklustre , confused incompetent. Newcastle spirited, running like their lives depended on it and ruthless. Fairplay. But I've seen enough for tonight.

Admit it. You are just sulking because I told you Fury was a Sumo lookalike joke and you've wasted your money on him again. One bad decision is understandable but twice is a sillybilly

Poverty caused by tory austerity. A deliberate assault on UK citizens. The UK spends a fifth less on health when compared to similar countries like Germany ,Spain and France. That adds up to a sicker, population who die earlier and whose babies weigh less and have a shorter life expectancy than other comparative countries. The average UK citizen spends around 32% of their income on housing . It's 20% in the rest of the EU. UK Workers have f**k all in the way off sickness benefits and employment protection. Our economic model..rampant, f**k the weak and damn the poor c

I like companionship, but I like my own company and wild places more. I wouldn't have minded being a trapper. But I would have two or three squaws in my log cabin for home comforts. I would be careful not to learn their language or let them learn mine. Too much earache.

THL General forum membership is conditional on being a miserable old feker. There's strict unseen vetting . Post male menopausal, bitter, carping, teeth grinding, frustrated geriatric whiners. It's who we are.

Good luck mate. What do they say? The darkest hour is just before the dawn. Hope your house viewing goes well.

Buck still healthy mate? Shame he was never bred from. Some good lurcher genes gone begging.

Yes but that figure is life expectancy at birth. You have reached 59 whereas many in your cohort died along the way. So, your true life expectancy is, according to the ONS, 84. I'm 75 and according to the stats I will live another 12 years.

Madam, I find abbreviations so very vulgar! Why did you use the abbreviations 'you're', 'it's, 'TV', 'we're' and 'dont'? I am a scholar and a country gentleman. I hold a first class honours degree awarded by the University of Life. I much prefer and demand : 'you are;' 'it is;' 'Television;' 'we are'; and 'do not' when employed in formal prose. I abhor informal language. We are british. This is our language. We must uphold the standards of the country and the empire. How will savages learn except by example? I beseech you, please, desist from the use of abbreviation in any of y

When Man U were relegated 74/75. We enjoyed a great season in the second division. I remember some great away days and great camaraderie. Football is football, whether it's international, Champions league or bottom of division 2.

Been there. Steel bins full of ash and corroded bottoms which allowed all sorts of rubbish, including dog shit and piss to escape. Plenty of perks though..scrap metal for one. I was really fit. Hard graft but start early finish early. I enjoyed it. Good camaraderie. Some interesting blokes to work with. Most customers friendly. Pay OK and you had the freedom to get part time second jobs if you wanted to.

I'm quite relaxed about our present position. I'm 75 now and was born less than a mile from the ground. I remember the bad times like Munich and relegation as though they were yesterday. But also the good times like the first and subsequent European cups. The Fergie era was unbelievable and lots of fans thought we had a divine right to win everything. Not so. We were also in the wilderness for years after Busby retired. It's just part of football. I'm irritated about how standards have slipped though. f****n Rashford and Garnacho need a shake. They haven't enough pride about themselves or

I didn't know that. Cheers.
