Tell you what. If they adopt the world view of people like Mick Lynch or the late Bob Crowe. I will not only vote for them but campaign for them. Wages, conditions, social housing, properly funding the NHS and education, increasing pensions, flexible working, proper sick pay holiday pay.zzzzzzzzz. You've heard it all before. Starmer had to reassure the real power brokers...the press barons and the billionaires that he was harmless and wasn't going to do a Truss or worse. He cut the state pension to demonstrate right away that he was their stooge. Tony Blair became a multi millionaire on the back of being a fixer and gopher for the establishent and our supreme masters , the yanks. Starmer is fixing to do the same. Lost count of the number of people who've said to me " I'm vegetarian, I only eat burgers". They forget about leather shoes and coats etc etc.. My niece is vegan, looks ill with it, and feeds her dog raw because he didn't do well on kibble. Seriously.

It's weird,but both of them are fragile psychologically. Might be a case of who is first to bottle it. I'm sure boxers were psychologically tougher in the past. Maybe because times were harder and people were desperate for both fame and money.

This is a bit of role reversal. But whatever the scriptwriter's intention. Alf did speak for many. And at least it was allowed to be broadcast in those more permissive days. It wouldn't see the light of day now because of censorship. That's far more worrying than whatever came out of Alfs mouth. I thought Alf's wife was brilliant in that series. I've known a dozen women like that in my family alone. Alf's daughter, I wouldnt have kicked her out of bed. She was brilliant as Aunt Sally as well in Worzel Gummidge. Una Stubbs.

Talented actor. I saw him in a play.Death of a Salesman. He was very good. Think he was/ is a bit of Hampstead luvvie. I've watched it a few times but its a bit male menopausal "fings ain't what they used to be" for me, he should stick to the jokes. That's his talent. "Male menopausal" I know that's rich coming from me.
