    Funny how attitudes change. I once saw my dad cook, and that was when my mam was in labour with my kid sister. I never saw him even put coal on the fire. If he wanted a cup of tea ( in his case a pint pot with blue rings around it) he would gesture 'drink' by making a cupping action with his hand. She would duly oblige. When I got married I complained that the stew my Mrs had made wasn't the same as my mother's. She told me to "f**k off back to your mother's then mummy's boy". I've never gotten over the shock.

    I don't think any of the points I made were mentioned in the sentencing. The racial element of the attacks has been swept under the carpet.But it deserves proper scrutiny and if proven, further retrospective sentencing for them all. Breaking news. The Home Secretary now intends to implement one of the Jay recommendations. Professionals are now required by law to report cases of suspected attacks.     I've always suspected that the Establishment do not want to confront underlying issues involved in the Pakistani grooming gangs. One being, imo, that there was a racial element to the abuse.     Professor Alexis Jay chaired a report on child grooming gangs. It was published in 2022. There were 22 recommendations. None have been adopted. A public inquiry has legal muscle. Recommendations must be adopted by law. That's why we need one.

    Took the words out of my mouth. There was a woman who accused Trump and Epestein of raping her when she was 13 years old. This was before the first Trump election.
