Last time I was in Spain I was walking along a drinking street and some pissed up old grannies shouted "El Largo" at me. (I'm tall compared to Spanish blokes anyway.) I played up to them, made a fist and put my left arm on my right bicep and raised my right arm. They cackled like f**k. Mrs went one better though, she shook her head and held up her little finger and bent it. They cackled even more. Universal communication.?

Ever been to a bullfight? I defend the Spaniards right to continue their tradition. And I can see the drama, the risk and a bit 9f raw beauty but personally it would be a bit too gory for me. I would just feel sorry fora majestic animal literally brought to its knees.

Watched a 5part documentary about him on iplayer. Very good watch. I recommend it. He had a tragic, eventful, chaotic life. Drink destroyed him in the end

Just read The Sun also Rises and Death in the Afternoon. Read The Old Man and the Sea ages ago. Bit disappointing tbh. Find him stressing his own masculinity all the time.Bit of a poseur. Any recommendations as to his best work?

Parasite. Korean. Makes a change from Hollywood stuff. I recommend. Amazon. Watched The Seven Samurai for the first time. Loved it.,Mrs not so much. Can see why it's a classic and how The Magnificent 7 was a copy of it. Top notch imo.

I think women are more prone than men to be loopy. Whenever I'm in the presence of a bat shit crazy woman I can feel weird vibes coming from her.Im taking a backward,step all the time. They are scary. Men can be loopy of course but their loopiness tends to come out in aggression, standing in your space, weird eye contact. That's easy to counteract, just get the f**k away from them quick.Its not so simple with women. Give me blokes anyday you know where youu are. Except in between the sheets of course.

Joseph Carter, the minkman on YouTube regularly gets bitten by various rodents....just stitches himself up. Very quiet unassuming guy too. I'd be screaming off to A and E.? He's some guy. I just can't get over how he thought of taming wild mink and making them work for him. Top bloke.

I bred and sold a lot of fully trained dogs in the mid 70s. The market was just beginning to take off and I am not ashamed to say I made good money. i only had one returned after a full shooting season. He said the springer I sold him was running in to shot and ignoring the whistle. i took it back and can honestly say the bitch never put a foot wrong with me. Some guys don't have any authority with dogs and dogs can sense it. I re-sold it and the buyer was delighted with her and regularly kept in touch until the dog's death. I am fed up of hearing about f****n rescue dogs. Why am I supposed to care, that, post pandemic, the shelters are full of neurotic or unwanted dogs? Put them down humanely ffs. The brits worry about the plight of dogs more than they do the homeless. I keep meeting people who puff themselves up and announce their mutt is a rescue dog. Talk about virtue signalling. Personally I think they are f****n mugs to bring problem dogs into their homes. Why do we not value pigs as much as dogs? They are at least as intelligent as dogs.
