Horses..... expensive, stubborn, farting, kicking biting creatures from hell. But women are willing to enslave themselves to their welfare. Suspiciously Freudian if you ask me. Watched Man U v Bayern . Made me laugh that the krauts were able to taunt us with " Footballs coming home" and "Is this a library?" without being drowned out by a fired up Stretford End. Part of the problem at Old Trafford is that they have gentrified the terraces with the "prawn sandwiches" brigade who have no real gut affiliation to the team. A lot of turtles over here are bought as tiny, cute pets and then released into ponds and rivers. I'm not sure of the exact species. Apparently they play havoc environmentally because they interfere with natural food chains. I've seen loads in ponds in different parts of the country. My son caught one on a salmon fly about 35 years back. I've no doubt they will set up breeding populations in the warmer South eventually.

I've fished and shot for 60 odd years and I eat meat but I've never eaten pork for 30+ years after seeing a video on pig production. I'm not preaching to anybody . It's a personal decision, but It ain't right to intensively farm pork.

Total scumbag whatever he was. Needs somebody to give him a very hard slap. Good of that woman to give him money. Somebody hould have at least said something to that cleaner. It was an evil thing to do. Was he acting alone or under instruction from a boss man? If he had been told to do that ...he could have refused. I was only doing what I was told is not an acceptable excuse.

A lot of the Galgos that are hung or abandoned probably had one or two poor courses and were judged solely on one or two performances. Give them a second season to mature at least. I used to love greyhound racing and the wastage rate in that sport is huge. But at last non graders are humanely put to sleep and were well cared for. But a lot of people lack empathy. The Greeks are as bad. I've seen lots of dogs tied to tin barrels , standing in their own shit and their necks rubbed raw with being restrained by chains or ropes. Their 'kennels' must be incredibly hot in summer and too cold in winter When me and the Mrs talk about Zante, we always call it the island of tortured dogs. They would start to howl with frustration at 4 in the morning. But what about the way we intensively farm chicken here? Not good. Those chinks look like Michelin men. A lot of gear surrounding field sports is the result of peer pressure and advertising. Men like uniforms for their hobbies. Like life,there's a lot of one upmanship. For a long time I was an inverted snob and used to turn up to fishing and stalking in basic ex army gear. I've got savings but like a lot of my generation I can't bring myself to spend it. You never know when hard times are going to hit. I wouldn't mind a bigger telly and a better bird room but I just can't justify the cost. 'Make do and mend' was my mother's mantra and I guess that goes for me too.
