  1. It's no good, Rob. I just can't get past this .......... That Has To Be quite simply The Most appealing bit of work I have ever seen in my entire f**king life! I once cased up a wren which I'd bought from my old mate, Andy Henry (RIP ) When he saw it - I used to buy stuff off him, on the wires. Case it with ground work and he'd then sell it on for me - he was entranced. So much so, in fact, that he just stared at and studied it for a long time. Before announcing that he was buying it, there and then, for his own, personal collection. (Anyone who knows anything of the " Andy Henry
  2. That's what I was thinking, Walshie. Similar to our own, new, system. Used to be about €45.00, per gun, per year. Now we pay, what ever, for three years. Actually, it's quite nice, to be honest. Because, I mean, ye Know it's coming! Not like this €300.00 bill just lands on ye mat. (I have two guns) And, once ye've paid for it? Relax! No more shit for a whole three years! For me, considering the taxi fares alone involved in getting from pillar to post, trying to catch evasive Gards and get rubber stamping done? It's actually, quite likely, saving me a small f**king fortune!
  3. It all goes exactly as we'd expect it to. Bathe in that knowing expectation! http://youtu.be/hsjjQDh8r58
  4. Simply f**king staggering, mate! Completely rhetorical question, of course, but; How the hell did ye get that wet fur effect?! I've never heard of any such technique. I'd honestly even consider buying that one, just to get a better look at it. As it is; More shots would be appreciated! That's got me fascinated. Best shut up, or I'll sound like I'm blathering. Wouldn't be far wrong either! But, there ye go again, see, Rob? Like ye hares in the wheat; You definitely blow me away the best when ye thinking outside the box. And this one too is blowing me away
  5. Right there, lads, ye looking at the future of native aviculture. I think it's passing into safe hands. Don't you? Most heart warming post I've read in a long time!
  6. That's all, really. Just " " .....
  7. Saw a dunnock here, yesterday, funny enough. First one this year.
  8. Sound of them nearly drove me over the f**king edge, when I was doing summer time pest control, ferreting on the southern downs! Now? Here? They're lost to us. I'd Love to hear one again!
  9. ^^^ Just watched a good film. But, That's the best f**kin laugh I've had all night! (Never even seen a clip of the film. Just googled it and saw the c***! )
  10. The Wire is the only thing on tv that could ever give The Soprano's a run, mate. Since then, we've had Breaking Bad. Sons of Anarchy. Dexter. Good shit. But, that shit was Legendary. Those two set the bar. Each of the two boxed sets have consistently held their high value for f**king years now. Oh, and Don Draper, from Mad Men ....? Like a cross between Clint Eastwood and Brian Ferry. Disgustingly cool and manly!
  11. Cheers, TC. But, it's all just getting a little involved for this time of a Saturday, mate. I'll stick with what I've got and wait for that to turn up on you tube
  12. Are you f**king serious?! Omar is The Coolest f**king character in The Wire. (I mean, yeah. Bent as a nine bob note? Sure. But still cool! Always carrying that pump action under his coat? Inspirational!)
  13. Boring, I know. But, sadly? It's a Boat.
  14. Cheers, Clipo; But, the sly f**kers appear to have even that one covered, mate.
  15. http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b0418x7x/Natural_World_20142015_Honey_Badgers_Masters_of_Mayhem/ Dan; I can't get the beeb here, in Africa
  16. Cheers, guys. Too late for today; I've hit the lash, look! Too pissed to f**k with power tools. Certainly can't be arsed with challenging my head any more. TC's diagram looks to make sense, on paper at least? Maybe that's how I was doing it? That blue cut? I just know I never used to f**k about cutting out triangles, or lopping off waste wood. Head wreck!
  17. I wish I could see this shit!
  18. I've made scores of starling, and similar, nest boxes. Now, I've suddenly forgotten How!!! I make the sides 15" at the back. Sloping to 12" at the front. I always thought I cut a 30" plank in half. But, last time, I was taking a lump off the end of each plank. So, this time, I had them cut to 28". Thinking to factor out that wastage ..... Behold ....! WTF is That all about?! What f**king measurements do I apply to these planks, to get two, equal, sloped roofs, please? I've done it for years. Now I've lost it! This is doing my f**king head Right in! I wond
  19. I'd hardly say I'm an " expert ", Neil. Far from it! All I can really add is that both wagtails and creeps are what's categorised as " Passerines ". That's to say their feet were designed for perching. (That may throw ye, till ye consider, say, ducks. Their feet are effectively, primarily, paddles. They don't grip perches. They're not passerines. See?) What fascinates me now is this: Has anyone ever personally seen a Treecreeper walking on the ground ....?
  20. " Scoffle "! Someone commented on the names my Dogs have, the other day. But, I still think That's a belter!
  21. I Love a bit of Badass! Been following that for years. And the one bit, about M3, that's always stuck with me is: " he summited the highest peak in Glacier National Park – 10,466 feet – covering the last 4,900-feet by running straight up a sheer cliff face in the span of 90 minutes. Through 20-inch deep snow. In the middle of January, when temperatures were in the single digits. His tracker didn't explain why, but we can only assume the answer involves teabagging the summit just out of principle. " F**king Brilliant!
  22. Yep. Oxford? TVP? Overtly Xtian event? F**k all to do with " Islam will have a f**ling fit!!!!! :icon_eek: " then .....
