Bird - Boerboels have a lot of Bullmastiff blood from the many Bullmastiff's taken to South Africa in the 20's-30's to guard the diamond mines.

Interesting thread lads and lasses... I've done my fair share of messed up stuff over the years, played about and at times believed that the grass was always greener. I've learnt from my mistakes (I've made many), I guess I just hadn't found the right woman. I was with someone for 4 years in an attempt to make it work for the sake of my son, finally ended the relationship and now I am in and out of court to see him. Now older and wiser in my 30's would I ever do anything on my current girlfriend? Not in a million years, absolutely worship the girl and the ground she walks on and could never do

Interesting topic... personally I don't see a problem with someone breeding crossbred worker to crossbred worker it's what dogmen have done for centuries. You could create your own type but as already said it would take many many years to do so. But why try to re invent the wheel, why not try to bring back the working qualities of the bedlington, lakey, border and the many other breeds we have already that have gone to sh!t creek. Sorry to burst anyone's bubble but our Terriers are not as "pure" as some would like to think... -

It's absolutely devastating... but I don't see the point in charging any owner of a dog under these circumstances where the dog was clearly a family pet, well looked after and there was no history of aggression. It is just 1 of them unexpected incidents that unfortunately happens. I don't think bull breeds are for everyone, always had them and always had them around family and my little 1 since he was born but I wouldn't ever take my eyes off my child around my dogs and more so around anyone else's dogs. All it takes is a split second and something happens that the dogs react to and it all kic
