Mid Tube Or Stopped End
THE GENERAL replied to Dig-deep-draw-charlie's topic in Earthdogs & Working Terriers
if you dig to a dog baying in mid tube and lift the dog and the quarry goes on about its business. How can you call it a successful dig to humanely dispatch quarry that's not there? . Different story if the dog has hold and you take them both out. If your doing a job for a shoot or a farmer, will he think you know what your doing if all he see's is you holding your terrier saying it was a success? I wouldn't think it. Seen dogs lifted a few times in certain situations but that's a different scenario. -
Foxbolter, I agree with you. The diffence in certain parts of the world terriers can get away with working 6 inches away from quarry and put pressure on if needs be. Will the same terrier be able to be dug to everytime if the quarry is putting it to the terrier from first contact, from past experience?

Excellent read, thoroughly enjoyed that. Nice big strong looking dog, thanks for sharing Haiddheliwr.

I'm only having a laugh pal, very much appreciated, thank you.

Great offer much appreciated, would you like my long number at the front and sort code as well LOL

That's the way that hunt started RB, in tight to the bank handy, up a hedgerow at 2.4 and back around for almost 2 hrs. Experience and persistence paid off. Once it went out into the field there was only one way out, upwards.

For the record Neil I'm not a tight ass, ive been waiting in my neighbours house all afternoon for this link and now he's starting to get angry. So I'm going to have to log of his wifi and go home, maybe call in for a chat with him tomorrow and someone will have a link up then. Don't want to out stay my welcome LOL
-
Why'd you fill it back in ? What if you ever want to dig there again ?LOL. I carry a 6x4 sheet of plyboard in the back of the van with me. Throw it over the dig and put backfill on it. Works a treat everytime lol

Any way of putting up a link lads I'd be interested in reading a good write up. Too tight to buy the paper lol. Cheers

I can relate to this but only from experience from owning a bitch pup I was gifted over 10 yrs ago from a close friend. She was fit as a fiddle always but she would have laid down the odd time on walks panting heavily, even out running the fields at the rear of my house she would blow up quickly and lie chest down legs out as if she was punctured. Funny thing about it was she was always lacking in wind at times out road walking with the other terriers and she would lie down on her chest and I thought I would have had to carry her home, never did, never had too. I would stop and let her gather

The last fair I was at was Shane's in 2010 but if I do decide to go to one in the near future I will be sure to introduce myself to you and we can have a chat. I never wish anyone any bad luck especially when it comes to country sports. Maybe the odd off the cuff remark but nothing malicious. I was just trying to pick your head but you're obviously set in your ways.

Black Buck you having the same issues of posts being deleted also. Very strange that I thought it was only me. I pointed that out to Albert but he has choosen to ignored that along with everything else. Oh and thanks for clearing that up. I'll await my apology for blaming me in the wrong and he can apologise for calling me an anti while he's at it. Or he could find himself having one extra person at his fair one day and we'll see if he's as quick to insult me face to face.
-
Aye thanks for that link I see there's over 5000 members, just like my local butchers on fb. I also noticed you or an admin will post on the page and you're lucky to get a dozen likes let alone comments on the majority of threads and it's mostly the same people over and over again doing the commenting lol. Edited to add, pretty much the same on here no posts no likes very little comments if none. You see where I'm going with this ? Good job your obviously a popular guy. Good luck

Above is based on truth and not rumour, constructive questioning based on personal experience. I can't see any posts saying a great day was had by all apart from YOU, the organiser. Not biased at all are you lol. Talk about blowing your own trumpet. Feel free to reply to the constructive discussion and try your best to leave the name calling out of it.
-
The challenge lmao. You don't like being challenged and you refuse to answer questions. So why would I do what you ask? Which is basically name men's names and events on the www. for all to see? Just so you can tell more lies and if you don't like it get the posts deleted. Keep your £50 you've lined your pockets with from other people. You haven't answered a single question that I've asked you and none of them where hard questions just contrasts and things you should think about if you want to improve in certain areas what you already do. You obviously don't want to, it's already got silly so

I posted my experiences above like you asked. Yet you ignored it, the same as you do everything else as you choose to do. You never replied to anything concerning the posts, you go into the same rant about supporting country sports and x amount of years while completely ignoring what your being asked and to understand. The same spiel over and over again like a broken record then you begin to insult me in the proceeds lol. I don't play games, games are for children, you are a clown Albert.
-
You don't like answering questions. They are the sentences that end in ? incase you didn't know. If you answer them then maybe you might get somewhere, but you don't. You obviously don't want to for one reason or another. I haven't attacked you personally. I've only asked you questions, so continue to try and flip it whatever way you want while you beat about the bush and call me an anti in the proceeds. Maybe that's why you pay for security at your shows, is it for self protection?

Also if Ballynahinch was so successful where is all the posts saying "great day out etc."? I don't see them. So the proof is in the pudding, don't be kidding yourself. I was at Moate show, the only dog show I attended this year. A working dog show. It was a great success and the IWTF where present, it was a family day out and raised a lot of money for the federation. All you have to do is look at that thread and see the results and comments. A great success and promoted terrier Lurcher and hound work. Ask yourself WHY when a terrier and Lurcher show can be organised by individuals, yet men an

You've really flipped the coin there Albert. Game fairs that promote country sports are no problem it's yourself and the high horse you put yourself on while you constantly lie and refute situations that have occurred and put them to one side is the problem. If you where open and honest I'd say your earn more respect but you incapable of doing so.
-
Albert my mate that hunts with me and has done for a long time week in week out went to Ballynahinch with his wife and young kids, he enjoys almost any family day out extra bonus if it's centred around his likes. He said it was piss poor! Well I'm lying he said worse. They took a dander around jumped into the jeep and drove home. Suppose that's rumour because I wasn't there in person? Just the way content has been removed from this thread! Suppose thats not true either and it's only speculation and I've got an agenda? Catch yourself on you're pissing down dogmens backs and telling them it's ra
