I use a few frozen pinkies now and again but not many of my birds are interested in them, the siskins I had liked mealworms but the others weren't bothered.
Broccoli, petit pois and soak seed are more popular.
A lot of people keep them as pets and it's up to them what they keep, I like a smallish ferret but they are still big enough to work.
If I was offered some true micros and I had cage space I'd have them as pets.

A bloke I knew trained and worked security dogs and he said the most dangerous dog he ever saw was a neo bitch owned by someone in a terraced house with no front yard that had egged it on every time someone walked past and it had flipped.
I was listening to the starlings tonight doing impressions of wading birds out on the marsh, I've had one sat on the wing mirror at macdonalds before doing siren noises too. I wonder why they mimic rather than just stick to their own noises?
I've got a few canaries down on eggs now and a few building up so won't be long until the fun starts.
Goldies are looking keen in the aviary but the muling cocks aren't ready yet.
