if you have a gun or hawk there it would help your cause they would be hard pressed to prove you were doing owt wrong if the farmer gave you permission theres not much chance of anyone phoning in to complain

depends a lot on the time of year fella if your talking about a pup thats 11 months old in december you would do it no harm holding it back a bit til the game softens up or even til the stubbles are cut next season

any pup you buy off someone you dont know when you havent seen the parents run is a gamble it all depends what your looking for from the dog i would say 100 is not a lot of money to risk its more the time you put in if it doesnt make the grade its a year or so wasted out your life

know what you mean the hunting world must be some of the hardest to please and bitchiest fuckers on the planet the good comments probably make it worthwhile though theres always going to be jealous snide people who dont have the talent or dedication to produce a book film or whatever who put down those who do sad but true

I really enjoyed the book the photos are awesome but at the end of the day any book is only a 2 dimensional thing and ive always preferred seeing dogs running on dvd to reading books and thats only a substitute for seeing the real thing which cant be beaten

stop at the first one then make a big fuss of the pup and stop on a high note so you have less chance of sickening it

its hard work picking pups mate all you have to go on is colour sex and shape at that age with a bit of personality thrown in sometimes you have your heart set on a bitch and theres a dog keeps coming up and tugging at your trousers and you find it hard to look past it what determines a good dog is all on the inside of it so you cant judge by the outer shell its only a rough guide. i always look for a certain sparkle in the eye a gut feeling but even then sometimes you get it wrong and the one that sits at the back of the kennel and is last to go could be the best one out the litter. good lu

same here mate its soul destroying when you rear a few pups and none make the grade but then you get something decent and the bad ones are soon forgotten about
