    simple fact is not many farmers are going to allow guys to drive around willy nilly in their fields so the big majority of these lads are doing it illegally and that gives the rest of us who arent driving fields or arent poaching, the same bad name as them

    the point im trying to make is some people are trying to say this cross has stamina and can run all day etc when the fact is they dont have a lot of stamina and dont stand up well to long runs, lots of work or rough terrain. you will get a one in a million dog here and there that can do these things but in general the whippet/greyhound has a short shelf life as a serious working dog. thats why not many people ever use them for serious grafting, running the fens, long nights lamping etc.

    if whippet/greyhounds could run all day and had enough wind then nobody who runs the fens would ever bother with saluki x lurchers

    do some of you guys log on to the site to argue using your phones while your out lamping? just wondering cos if i was big into lamping i dont think id be sitting on here throwing childish insults around at night id rather be out in the fields away from the computer

    this forum just gets worse and worse its like a playground for spoilt kids lol I would be interested in seeing the link if its videos of dogs working abroad on different quarry always find that interesting but im not into that facebook shit so pm me it, cheers

    I enjoyed it more than hare and hound cos theres more reading in it. one thing stood out all the way through and that is how all of these men respect the hare no lamping it no doubling dogs up running the best hares they can get at the right time of year the youngsters coming into the game would do well to read this book and learn well from it

    hes got a point one guy really stood out when i was reading it and that was the fella who was out all the time but didnt talk about it if a few more had the same attitude when they come online the police and antis would have a lot more time on their hands
