  1. I've tried them all and a stun to the head stops movement the quickest, that or chinning. Necking can cause problems with nets and I don't think it's right to have a couple of goes at the old Karate chop business . I find that chinning as necking does, sometimes causes trauma/bruising to the shoulder area, where as the priest limits this. Any way I will give chinning more of a go as people seem sure about the method. Cheers, never to old to learn .
  2. Tiercel, "too many variables to be consistent" what do you mean by that?
  3. Ask him he thinks any of the meat on his plates had a decent end, I think not. I think a priest is the quickest and most effective way of dispatching rabbits in nets.
  4. Maybe you need some testosterone jabs or a bigger pair of trousers
  5. Thing is mate, you let the misses get involved in buying a dog, "like they do" O dear.
  6. That's upset the misses. Bang goes me bunk up. I'll have to work me charm Fecking dog fighting program what ever next
  7. mince chicken 60lb £14
  8. Depends on how much you're paying, for me no.
  9. I have seen lots of birds catch lots of things and I have seen a Steppe Eagle catch a fox BUT it didn't kill it. In fact it caught it once let it go, gained some height and bang caught it again. After a struggle let it go and lost a talon. That Eagle weighed 8lb if my memory serves me correctly and apparently they catch foxes. I have also seen Harris Hawks catch lot of stuff, nothing bigger than a Hare. Not it couldn't be done but I'm pretty doubtful. Maybe a cub or weak specimen.
  10. Good dogs are born, great dogs are made.
  11. Got 8 legs here for £70 if you want them. Sorry forgot to say, I'm in Kent.
  12. Do you remember the winner of the THL lamping competition? A ruff 26"+ Deer Hound looking thing. That was from a rescue centre. That was the one RM.

They range as far as you let them. Same as most cover dogs.
  16. I use a BBQ professionally and cook on them for up to 40+ people weekly. Wild rabbit saddle is acceptable barbequed but any other part is tough. Had similar results wild foul, even cooked young Canada's just flying, still tough, but acceptable. I don't mind tough meat and am especially fond of Wood pigeon pan fried but BBQ seems to make non fatty meat tougher and most wild game is non fatty. The marinade may be the answer so I will it and update you when I have, although I have used marinades before. Anyone else had good results barbequing rabbit?
  17. Just for the record and I don't think anyone else has mentioned it. The fat ear pulling dog trainer didn't actually pick the dog up literally by his ears it was more the head held either side by the ears. Again I don't condone or agree with this but I couldn't see the dog being put of by his actions. I still don't like him though mainly because of his over active pie arm .
  18. Never had a wild duck or rabbit (unless really young) that was tender unless cooked really slow, marinade or not. Jamie Oliver mentions Italy, rabbit is the second most farmed animal in the world after chicken. So I'm assuming his recipe is with farmed rabbit, which is pretty tender.
  19. Nice looking dogs, I do like a nice trimmed one . Do they work?
