  1. I've got a Bull x bitch that will bite but only through play. She doesn't have much in the way of natural guarding instinct and barks very little. I've seen a lot of Bull terriers that are protection trained and known of a fair few Collies that were complete b+sterds for biting and I wondered if these traits would or have carried over to a Lurcher. I can remember a Collie x that was a nightmare for biting and I'm sure in this day and age it would of been PTS.
  2. And he has never done anything like that before. If you want to test your dog, contact a local trainer. There are plenty out there willing to give a dog a bite for a few £££££, they usually charge about £20+ an hour for a bit of training. Does your dog rag things?
  3. Has any one got a Lurcher that will bite on command? What cross is it, is this behaviour natural or did it take much encouragement/training?

  15. If your not feeding your dogs whole animals, then I'll fink you'll find tripe is pretty essential if your feeding a BARF diet. Peter, I take it you don't like the smell
  16. The vid's 2.38 long. If you had a run longer than 2mins you could eat your catch when ya dog retrieved it.

  19. Good luck mate. Keep your commands simple, constant and keep training short, but often.
  20. what age bud, i wouldn't recommend puppy classes, no offence meant leegreen but the ones i;ve come across, classes are about stopping pups doing things seemly to make them social and are for pets not working dogs, methods used on a german shepard pup would destroy a lurcher pup mentally , as far as i can figure out every dog trainer settles on a certain method and treats every dog the same, not a very open minded bunch, No offence taken mate, but Mr T doesn't seem to know much about pups and I also supposed that he didn't personally know anyone that could help him so I suggested puppy cla
