    Rspca

I haven't read this thread for ages and am gob smacked by the posts that lampingloon posted Just a trick to and dry up support for dymented. Whether the money be used in defence and/or persuing the rspca it makes no odds to me all the same thing in my book,if they have to use their resourses in fighting then loosing ,great. best of luck Dymented
  3. So are they just over 5 months Springer?
  4. I had a terrier that was inconsistent at 18 months by 2 1/2 he was much better. at 18 months he can only be a first season dog ,if he genuinely hasn't walked ,he's not necessarily a failure yet in my book.
  5. was tempted by a pup out of that litter, but had already bred my bitch,(who's related to the sire) Think they were born a week after mine
  6. Jigsaw that's a crafty way to advertise pay your fiver you tight git,
  7. Bull mastiff I think ,you and all ,will be surprised,in what your can do .I think wild boar will bring the natural chase ,bite or bay ,out of the dogs. As I say best of luck ,have a great time and put a follow up thread up so as we can all be green with envy and learn from your trip atb Roy
  8. good luck lads hope all goes well and you catch well and don't get any injuries. keep a log of your trip and count me in if you do a repeat next year. bad time for me this year as I've a old bitch and a young pup or else i'd have loved to come. oh and fair play to D'n'N for organising it all
  9. nowt wrong taking a young dog along with experienced dogs . AS LONG AS THEY ARE WELL BEHAVED. they will learn their bad habits as well as their good a young dog will want to run anyway ,and taking before they are ready to run, and having a look aint going to hurt ,may gee it up a little bit on a laid back dog. and its all part of socialization, being out with other dogs. but time spent alone is quality time for the dog. but recall and retrieve are best taught before you take other dogs out
  10. had the cheap infra red bulbs and they were blowing weekly changed to slightly more expensive and they lasted a lot longer. the tube heaters are cheap to buy and run and go well underneath their benches
  11. except For the ears that's a dead ringer for my pup ,nice type arctic
  12. When iran fox (pre ban) i used a 28lnch deerxgreyxbull far from even oh,ok ,just the thing about an even match ....no bother
  13. Good luck buddy ,what ever you decide,it's a lot of work raising a litter though, and it's only you that can say if the bitch warrants breeding from. I've not long raised a litterand would of bought in if I could have found a litter I fancied. Then after I bred there was a couple of litters that was well bred born weeks after mine.it costs you more to raise a litter than it does to buy one ,if done right, you may just get a pup for yourself for free . But I would get the best posssible stud out there even if it costs you £££ But with the feet issue I'd probably go with a saluki blood
  14. Looks a chunky pup there snoop hope he serves you well .
  15. I bred a litter from my 3/8 5/8 bull grey bitch to. Snoops Razor they are young at the minute, bit I am pleased how they have turned out so far,
  16. with even matches, theres always the chance your dog could lose thats an odd thing to want get the job done asap then move on,no need to prolong anything,as it becomes baiting
  17. He looks well there Rain ,best of luck with the coming season, mate
  18. f**k sake mushroom ,have you write a book yet ? Have you got any tips for raising gobby teenagers orfor a Mrs that won't submit to my urges every time I've been on the piss
  19. Hope he can train durability and teach how to have good feet and wind ,greyhounds are top of their game ,I agree that much ,but have their limits, are highly tuned athletes and nothing compares, that break when they hit stuff at 40mph ,think Ferrari doing the Paris - Dakar. it's been tried loads of times and people had a great idea! They crossed them with other dogs and made Lurchers and they done the trick Of course a greyhound will catch (quickly ) but I for one wouldn't pay the kind of money wanted for a well bred greyhound http://www.greyhound-data.com/litter.htm?land=uk when a lurcher
  20. Stamina and durability would still be a concern of mine, especially in hot conditions with cover etc. Competitive doubled up coursing on open fields is different ball game to catching Jack rabbits in the desert
  21. Good luck to anyone who wants to keep a pure racing greyhound, they aren't cheap to buy(as pups),and will probably be paying for your vets holiday to the Caribbean in a few years lol, they get injured enough on tracks let alone running in the dark with obstacles
  22. Yes it's called heterosis or out crossing
