  9. Yea think they all know it shouldn't be done mate
  10. But I'm sure there's lads on here that know a bit more than me mate ,they'd be your best bet fir advice regarding merle x merle breedings
  11. Yes mate a white dog with patches or a fair bit of white but a black fawn or red dog can carry the genes for pied to make it confusing lol
  12. The double merle just means they carry a merle gene from both parents,if they are unhealthy it is down to chance ,possible to be deaf and have Under developed eyes. ,but not every time, but if one parent carried a lot of white the could be an ordinary merle that is pied
  13. Yea I se that could happen if they carry a lot of white anyway, also a read a red dog with no black can be merle but not show it ,as it obviously only affects black /blue/chocolate ,and as has been said not all double merles will be unhealthy ,but not a thing to breed for purposely ,
  14. Chid like I say I'm no expert but he little I've read"generally " I thought they had a lot more white on them, but that's just general internet stuff I've no experience of breeding merles at all Edited to say, must have read your mind chid lol
  15. Don't know an awful lot about merles but is it the double merles that need culling ? If you was to breed 2 merles?
  16. one sister to caled that i now of a very good bitch got 30 and 40 louds of times but on land that is lamped to death and not masive numbers there.no brothers he was the only dog in the littermaybe see if you can persuade ,the owner to have a litter to sp. Or a suitable male?or maybe something like the picture
  17. Chid...that's essentially what he already has ,and they do the job ,I'd probably look for a related dog lloydy, that caled looked some dog mate, plus you done the 100+ with him ,is there any if his brothers or sisters around ?maybe nice to double up on those genes , on a side note I've always thought about a oz cattle dog cross or stumpy tailed cattle dog cross
  18. I think it all depends on the land you hunt and what else you might hunt too , the land you hunt is a challenge for any dog and you break them , plenty of bone not too fast and able to take the knocks.Average height.and able to put up with you trying to kill them lol
  19. Any pics mushroom ? I liked this litter and if I hadn't bred a litter myself would have had one atb Roy
  20. another way to look at it,guy offers FREE dog ,changes his mind gives it back to breeder, lad is happy so is breeder ,no one elses business ,end of thread, amen
