  1. Get some stainless ones from Nelson, well worth the money.
  2. Just shows what is achievable with grit and determination, well done Harry.
  3. I don't think either fighter lived up to expectations. Good win for Jones tho.
  4. A perfect little catch net.
  5. ive only seen 1 Siskin on the feeders..a male..beautiful little thing. I've got house sparrows, blue, great and coal tits, robins , starlings, blackbirds, goldies feeding atm, it's lovely to see. As you say if you put out the correct food for the bully's you will get them feeding.
  6. Well done.. Looks a capable net.
  7. My second guess was a greenie bully... I haven't a feckin clue now... Unless it's a sparrow.
  8. Take that you pesky rat...

  9. I feed the birds in my garden all year round, cant beat it. the bird table is only 2ft from the front window so i get some cracking views, we get all your usual garden birds but ive only ever seen one pair of bullys feeding on the table.
  10. That will be the 20/15 spun poly.. i use that for the selvage on my 20/9 nets. i do have a few single strand 20/15 stop nets (41/2" mesh) which are very nice to work with.
  11. I make most of my long nets out of engels 20/9 spun poly. They are made 12 or 13 mesh deep plus salvege always double strand and roughly 4 1/2" mesh. [/url]
  12. Feck me lad...your short of nawt..
  13. Bad day Boxing Day....every loon and there family will be taking their yearly walk in the woods.
  14. Not sticking up for the guy but i cant see where he mentions Nelson by name.
  15. The boxes are usually for 4 or 6 hares, each compartment would be about as wide as a shoebox but longer and could be entered or released from either side. Handling the hares is a very precise action to avoid fatal injuries to the hare and releasing them correctly is just as crucial Y.I.S Leeview I drop mine in a sack an not a prob on release sacking will kill hares or rabbits I never lost any me neither...
  16. Imo if youre using 4.2/5 mesh you need a good depth on that net as the hare will hit it at speed and wrap himself up as he goes.. i use 5" mesh which enables the hare to get his head through, he will keep pushing to get through the net and will tangle himself as he does..plus hes a lot easier to kill with his head through a 5" mesh.
  17. Lovely up there isnt it bt , glad you both enjoyed yourselves. Hope you left enough to fill my newly made longnet Edited to add ...you rotten b*****ds pinching old stoatys dinner..
