    I had to test the theory... ..{there not aggressive when they swarm}. 10 year a bee keeper eh..what hives you use ?. ive just got permission from the allotments to keep a hive ..im going for a top-bar Just be honest with the answer to the bird ringing question.. The trainer who does it all is worth that bit of extra mileage.

    Bees eh...now that got my attention..i saw a swarm today ...WOW..what a sight , i was working at a hotel when a humming/buzzing sound got louder and louder until the air above us went nearly black. my work mates bolted for it as well as hotel staff..me..i just sat there and watched..honey bees all around ..it was awsome. they eventually settled on a chimney and dissapeared inside. Well done on the permo..every bit counts How did you get on with the ringing ? anything come of it ?.

    Strim as much as you can and cover it with old carpet or black polythene ..anything to block out the light . then work a little at a time...dont forget to tell the committee your strategy and they will give you grace...

    Ive been asked by Smithie (former member) to give a short review of the long net he won on the Auction... The net in question was from Nelson, it is a 100 yrd 4z 4"mesh net hanked on stainless endpins. All i can say is for a machine made net it was lovely to handle and run off the end pins as smooth as you like. It balled up 14 rabbits last night (pest control chaps ) as good as any net (if not better) that weve used in the past.
