  7. Yea wouldn't mind changing mine lol, shouldn't decide on username after a load of Guinness.
  8. I made a few of these, i put a mesh flap so the squirrels can push in and the birds can not, if there's a squirrel trapped others can go in and out. This was for a job that a trapped bird was not an option and they were happy with this, saying that what ever you do accidents can happen but these traps worked well for me with no accidents.
  9. Never set a trap facing southeast moles just don't like it .
  10. Last year mine kept blocking up in the pipe between tank and trigger was bloody annoying and didn't look good in front of customers, me ramming wire down trying to unblock, but this year so far good as its fresh dust and ive put a couple of pepples in the tank (as someone mentioned on ere , thanks),had bit of an air leak by the gun so got some bull nose plyers to the crimp.
  11. WInsor Davis now they don't make um like that any more lol. Im still catching loads at the mo 2s& 3s in small areas which is strange thought the breeding would have eased off by now
  12. Job done little wire door so the sqizzz pushes up to open, then gravity with a little added weight to close. Its working and killing so im happy, just a little cooperaration with the client and understand there worries and work with them goes a long way
  13. Thanks for the replies, i agree on the heavy set to the plate, i once caught a black bird in a Fenn i think the constant hopping in and out must have worked the plate down to fire these accidents very rarely happen as we no. Without going into to much detail i need to make a bird proof trap so im going to try a heavy mesh swing gate/door see how that works, Cheers.
  14. Does or as anyone bird proofed there Fenn Squirrel traps?,i was thinking along the lines of a weighted swing door like on the poison hoppers, just interested in any ideas or views on it, cheers.

  17. Secrete weapon? may be part of the french mole resistance, be careful
  18. I agree the Talpex does the business, its my main trap these days rarely use anything else just got fed up with the flat packs. Nicepix regarding the stoney claggy poor soil conditions, what i have done in the past is taken a bucket of decent soil to a job i knew had crappy clay soil that would be no good to back fill,so back filled with decent foreign soil and the mole was caught. Now some people may say the mole will sense or smell it's a foreign different soil but i've done this a few times with success. And thats why i dont bother to clean my traps between jobs as it doesn't seem to matter
  19. Used to get them a lot when I was young, doc at the time said it was a lack of vitamin c, hope this helps
