Im interested on peoples views on trapping stoats&weasals, I personally love to see them about as they seem to be rare around my neck of the woods.(probably there but I never see them)
For the record im not knocking anyone who traps them and wish the op all the best with his traps
Also be interesting if its just my area that as low numbers of stoats&weasals?
I've seen a clip on youtube were some chap made a box for a bg and inside he stuck a small magnet so the very middle part of the trap was held by the magnet, looked a good simple idea
Been thinking of this waste business and the only thing that I can think of is if one of the big companys supply a neutralising spray so you can clean your emptys safe to go in to normal recyle, would have to coloured as prove of use.
Hope this makes sense
Mat is totally right, but I read on here I think that nutella mixed veg oil drizzled around your kill zone helps to bring them out, if your wanting a bit of sport.
Also made a couple of these, gives me something to do while the weather was crap, all materials came off the building site at work .
The top tray with the holes is to close it down a bit and also but some attractant on.
Made this with the chainsaw and spade drill bit, didn't take to long and the bodygrip fits in a treat not tried a fenn in there yet but cant see a problem with a fenn not fitting.
Ive gone all Ray Mears lol

Just had a look at the tracker on ocean.org, looks like the shark is following the gulf stream, surprised how far they can travel in such a time, looks like its on course for southern Ireland at the moment, more than likely retrace its route back.
I had a bit of this problem with the rat not going over the trigger plate, so I got a piece of roof slate rested on the plate as a ramp so that as soon as the rat was in the trap one foot on the slate and rat was caught, covered slate with fibreglass.
I was asked to trap moles in a couple of grass fields that is apsolutley sodden It was a job to walk in some areas, there was fresh mole hills in 3 areas in one field and 2 in the other.
Anyway when I located the main run and dug in to place the trap water was running down the tunnel like a little stream I thought surely the mole cant be using this but placed the trap all the same, low and be hold a mole was caught in this trap what an amazing little creature to operate in half full tunnels.
The other areas proved to be a bit more of a challenge, trying to sett traps in what I can only call
