    I know a few folks out here who use the 25 06 for most all big game here up to includeing elk to good effect once again use a well constructed bullet for that or the 270 and your good to go we had a old time world hunter who lived here an he used the 270 win for every thing up to and including mountain grizzly and i believe he shot much of the world s sheep species with said caliber as well his name was is Jack Oconnor and he used the 130 gr i think partition bullet or barnes for a lot of his hunting and 150s for his heavier game i believe can't remember for sure though oh and hey he used a

    Mine are going to be quick change for chiness tubes with mycarta reinforced tips the frames are ash i found a few trees by our small river back in the late winter mebe dye them to highlite the graln er no but thats it so far ,oh an i just got off work and had a look at my first run of mycarta it hardened good but the white cloth i used between the black parts is too thin it appears as the black shows through a lot an deadens the contrast that i was looking for ,but oh well gotta start some where an it should look ok all in all and above all functional ,a question olud i use plain twopart epoxy

    Sussex nah really with a i usualy load a cheap hornady 200 gr. behind some fast pistol powder an the bullet is goin prollt around 1000 to 1500 fps if that an at up to 100 yds it'l put a nice round hole in a specifically forrest grouse we have like 3 er four species of forrest grouse that are legal to shoot with most any arm the low land grouse must be taken with shot guns only here in my state however ,but yeah we set up my sons 308 win. to shoot cheap 150 gr. bullets with a fast powder an the results are about the same on small game ,of course we only use these light rounds on small game but

    I'd stick with the 6mm 243 er bigger if was buying a deer hunting rifle ,we use 22-250 for small varmits mostly here lol ,but if i was going to purchase one i'd definately be looking to some premium hunting bullets for it an not a light varmint type round ,like for example nosler partitions come to mind or me be Barnes bullets .

    The 270 is a good round for all deer species imo if you use the right kind of bullet ,for example we've used @140 gr. accubonds to good effect on large mule deer an elk no problems 30 06 good plain jane all around rifle as well even though we've allas used .308 win . instead though one plus for the 06 is most are rifled so they can stabilize a 200 gr. bullet where as most of the 308's can't with out after market barrels or special order ,but imo either rifle will work fine for your purposes especially if you reload then you can customise some rounds just for your weapon er weapons of choice ,k

    I don't get much shooting in except on my days off an i go for walks in the hills er river bottoms with my dogs an i plink at random targets as i walk along been using thera tubes for some time now but am going to switch to dankung tubes soon as i have some 2050 that i've never rigged up yet i'm not much of a shot at all right now although i enjoy shooting catty's at lot i have'nt much hunting experience with them since i was a youth about 40 er more years ago although i've been shooting off an on for about three er four years lately ,i still mostly grab a fire arm if i am going to hunt for t

    So how do the 2050 dankung tubes perform both singly an doubled ,and what would be optimum projectile's for hunting with said tubes ?9.5s work?

    Also if i might add yer should find your dominant eye ,an hold the catty in the opposite hand like if yer left eye dominant hold the catty in yer right etc ,just a suggestion though.

    I like useing the materials that come from the lands i roam, to fashion my natty's er other equipment with ,just seems to connect you to the land more imo.you have some nice looking forks there also,look forward to seeing a few done up proper like Longers7.

    Kranky what type er size bullet's you use on that squizzer with the natural fork layin on it , i ask because we have a good many spent bullets my son dug outta a hill that some of our city uses for target practice all sizes of slugs ,

    Those look nice i like the shape of the little one the best though the large one has some interesting grain imo ,they'l look real sharp when you get a finish on em .

    Hadda tube slip an the fork twisted outta my hand at full draw catty caught me in the chin damn near dropped me like a punch bleed like a stuck hog as well ,that's gonna take some time to heal that is .

    1They have several shipping rates the cheapest was about two American dollars shipped out here it should be cheaper in the UK i'd guess go look at the various shipping options again.
