  1. Yeah jsb exact 4,52 sorry i didnt get back sooner had a proper messy night last night ! Put £ 2.50 on barca to win 5-0 at 14/1 so last night half paid for itself. Ended up sleeping on a couch with a fire blanket LOL and i threw up in someones sink full of washing up !! Haha was going to go rabbit hunting at about 5am but i was just getting home lol
  2. No worries mate guess i took it the wrong way again! Ive been on a massive defensive recently lol guess im paraoid in my old age, 26 in a couple of weeks lol.! I just think we owe it to the quarry to give them the cleanest kill possible, not just scare them with a shot 3 inches to the left and one inch high of their head lol (clean miss, better than a wounding tho )
  3. Who said anything about missing ghillies? Every time i go out il check my zero before ahooting at vermin, thats the responsible thing to do
  4. Im after a 77 i think My 97 did me proud todayy tho. Good write up and nice looking rifle
  5. Hey guys went for a shoot today havent been out for a few weeks, since i got that long range crow, mainly to check the zero on my 97kt so i can go try find some bunnys tomoro.. and its a good job i did, it was well out! 3 shots aimed at the bull, all through the same hole- thats probably the best 3 shot group i have ever shot, well happy with that! from an un-tuned springer at 34 yards using unwashed, unweighed jsb exact 4.52 mm, 8.44 grn so after these 3 shots i took 1 more and it just made the hole slightly larger, as you can see here.. then a few clicks 2 more shots, an
  6. can highly reccomend an s410k if i get another pcp it will probably be a hw100kt tho.
  7. off the top of my head, a few years back we used to get logan penetrators in .22 both 16.4 gr and 21 gr aswell... ?? so thats some heavy ass .20 lead at 15.6 gr !!
  8. good thread here lads, it unfortunately does happen to all of us at some point. for me its a 50/50 choice on the next action, reload and shoot again, or run over.. either way its a clean follow up kill to end any suffering.
  9. Quote " .22 are useless " dont think so. every calibre has its pros and cons. At sub 12 ft lbs .177 .20 .22 and .25 are all capable of clean kills and none are, quote, " well miles better " than any of the others.. If the pellet hits the heart or the brain in the right place its goodbye vermin.
  10. Il have a watch tonigght. I was thinking of going back to iron sights to see how i do compared to using a scope
  11. ive had a few supersports and lightnings. cracking little guns
  12. its all about shot placement really calibre does not matter!
  13. Get a KT instead, there ambidextrous (dont know if i speled that right) lol also i dont think you can get a left handed hw100 action, aka cocking lever and magazine slot.. I think there all made right handed?? Not 100% sure tho
  14. 66 yard crow. havent had a rabbit in the crosshairs for bloody ages
  15. beautiful .. NOT !!! good luck mate, going to need quite a lot of elbowgrease to get that piston shiny again!!
  16. erm, about 8 years shooting just .22 then after 1 year of shooting both, i prefer my .177s anyday! if you had your heart set on a .177 then to buy a .22 would be wrong, even if its a good deal, wait a bit longer im sure a good deal will show up in . 177 aswell
  17. i used to get quite a few with the 4 supersports, 2 lightnings and the 2 hw99s's i used to have a few years ago. great medium range guns upto about 35 yards . well done to Craig for the great answers and tips also i think side on brain shots are the best. also camo is a good idea, if not then dull green/brown clothing. best bet would be sitting 25-30 yds from a warren and getting a few 'under your belt' before you start learning fieldcraft and stalking techniques. get a lot more chances, especially with a makeshift hide. good luck mate, happy hunting
  18. well done mate. love shooting rats and ferals
  19. nice going mate, always love reading about other's outings.
  20. yeah all 4 of my hw97's have done that any my mates old hw77 aswell. only fired one tx but im guessing there the same. a little side to side play is fine
  21. "looks like its had a hard life" , id say it looks like its had a fake tan!! lol and you probably wont need a spring compressor mate... Good luck and yeah keep us updated, and if you fcuk it up at least it wont get any worse than it is already!
  22. Hw for the win!! At least your happy now mate. Great write up, im probably going to be ten mins late for work after reading all that LOL!
  23. i was watching a peregrine falcon attacking a wounded wood pigeon last year. i seen the pigeon first on the floor and was just about to put it out of its misery when something caught the corner of my eye, came swooping down at the pigeon at very high speed bowled it over a few times and then landed on a low branch about 25 yards away. i was watching it through the scope trying to see what it was. thought it was a sparrowhawk at first but it was deffo a peregrine
