my old aa s410k was louder than any air rifle i have ever heard in my life without the silencer fitted. but just by silding that on and tightening a little grub screw it made it the quietest i had ever heard lol
-
LOL i heard in america they arent allowed silencers, so a shrouded barrel makes them a little quieter. imagine the hw100 series... the normal hw100, unsilenced, would be louder than a hw100 fsb without an additional silencer. but a hw100fsb with an added silencer -I imagine- would be quieter than a silenced hw100 if that makes sence?

im, dreaming, of a white, birthday.... (about 3 weeks away) LOL -
a spring gun no worries .if it looks good and cocks fine.a complex hw 100 ???? if you dont have a clue a bout guns or mechanical things a bit scarey . my thoughts exactly pal/ a springer is easy to open up and have a look at.. god knows whats going on inside a pcp tho LOL
-
my next springer will be second hand, im not splashing out for brand new again, bought 4 new weihrauchs last year. ... but now i want a 77 or ... but dont want to pay full price!. im confident that if theres any minor problems, worn spring or seals etc that i would be able to sort it myself so warranty wouldnt really matter. although if i get a pcp i would get brand new.

Opinions On The Power Of Air Rifles

cars dont drive in the middle of a road, they drive down either side or they would crash. so tony wont get ran over in the centre of the road. unless someone is overtaking LOL  -

I do see what you mean But, your statement that I've highlighted is a bit 'Blinkered' for want of a better word, it's your "Interpratation" and our laws are not 100% black and white, they are very open to interpretation. This unfortunately leads to mis-interpratation by a lot of people I also like a good debate youl be glad to be back online then, with treads like this -

if im ever in this situation and the cops are there and try arrest me i wonder what would happen. truth is half cops wont know the law and then there will also be arsy mad-for-power type cops who are just feeling like they can arrest me.. wonder what a judge would do.? theres a golfcourse near to me with a public footpath running accross it, fenced off.. if i stood against the fence shooting away from it and someone called the police i couldnt get done. and if i stood 51 feet away shooting towards the bottom of the banking which the path runs along i also couldnt get done. on the train lines near me there was a news report teens were throwing bricks and scaffold poles ect at the moving trains they were also seen to be using an AIRGUN .Out of the three items stated which is the most dangerous to the train driver the bbc reporters tone would suggest the air gun .If the bbc reporter had his way the idiots who shot at your car would of had only bricks and scaffold poles . I think he meant his CAT got shot? but i think the scaffold poles would do a hell of a lot more damage to a moving train.. a brick or a pellet would both be capable of smashing the drivers -

worlds gone mad about saftey... so if there going to do anything to the legal limit i think they will lower it. 12ft lbs is about right i think. although if your rifle beds in and creeps up, say 13/14/15 ftlbs its a hassle to lower it to 12 again (cutting springs etc) then you get foooked for having a 'firearm' JUST over the limit (not enough to make a noticable difference anyway) for me personally shooting out to 40-50 yds max, most of the time, i dont need much more than 11 ftlbs at the muzzle. -
cheers mate If i remember right, its a bisley sling. about £20 i think it was. my gun stock does look quite nice, i think it does anyway lol, but there all different! if your shop has to order 1 in for you, you might get a nice one or a 'boring' one. lol. if they already have a few in for sale then i guess you could choose the best one
-
i have both panoramas a 40 and 50 mm. i also have 2 97's lol, but none of them are tuned. good scopes for the money for an air rifle there all you really need. you wont be dissapointed with your rifle or your scope
-
no offence mate, but dont just go straight out and think just because you have the same rifle you will be able to do this... springers need A LOT of practice, time and effort to strart achieveing good, consistent results.. shoot plenty of paper targets at different ranges before you start trying to shoot live animals. Air Arms Tx200 Mkiii Or The Hw97?
Skot Ruthless Teale replied to Ben Hayman's topic in General Airgun Discussion
Im saying 97... both great guns neither will let you down, it goes down to preference, whichever rifle feels best in your shoulder.. best to try both if you can mate -
K denoted Karbine (shorter), S denotes sporter stock, T denotes thumbhole stock; therefore a KT would be a Karbine with a thumbhole stock. When a HW100 is described as 100S; it is the standard length rifle with a sporter stock. All have the same action but the K versions have a shorter air cylinder.Regards, Steve what about the barrel, is it the same length Karbine and standard ..?
