  1. True my 98 is perfectly blued and so is my hw100. This is something different and personalised to my liking
  2. I had a dog rough grindy twangy horrid hw95k from the factory. A strip degrease quick polish of the cocking slot piston spring ends and trigger sears and then a proper re grease using bisley moly grease saw it shooting very nice indeed. Pellet on pellet with .177 jsb exacts out at 35 yds little recoil and a very dull phut from the muzzle. It was just too light for me and i wasnt consistent with it so traded it towards my hw100. I was going to buy it back off my mate recently but didnt. So basically before you blow quid on a vmach kit see what its like fettled with the original
  3. Its basically a small 95. I had 2 few years ago both .22. Some have issues with the cocking lever galling. Will most likely be twangy aswel. Sure after a fettle it will be bang on. Just as powerful and accurate as all the other top hw springers.
  4. Looking slick! thanks for looking guys.. what you think ,??
  5. Safety sanded/polished Original guard... Brass screws
  6. Round the breech Dovetails cut out with scalpel Trigger pin holes and safety
  7. Just a tinker! After half sanding the blueing off my 97 as it was rusty when i got it i had decided to spray it camo.. or get it re blued. But im a lazy guy and never got round to it.. so today i stripped it down degreased it and wrapped the carbon vinyl round it to see how it would look. Not bad if i do say so myself. Relubed the internals and put her back together and changed the triggerguard and forend screws to brass and jobs a good'un. Just need a swivel for the underlever now and a sling and it will be finished. Thanks for reading il add pics in a min

  19. I dont know if the sidewinders are actually worth the extra £100+ The panorama is still an amazing scope.. ask my smk 98 !
  20. As we were saying about the sidewinders staying bang on zero... heres a marker shot the 3 shots at 28 yards with my smk97k .22 & sr pro sidewinder combo. No adjustments whatsoever since the last time i took it out! id say thats still pretty bang on!
  21. Aye sidewinders are top gear! And how do you forget your camera? Doesnt your phone have one??! What you got , a bloody nokia 3210 ??
  22. Im not a fan of daystates either. over priced IMO still, looks like you put it to good use Dave good shooting mate and a good write up too Shame the missus didn't want to know
  23. good shooting tom shame about your zero being off at first its annoying when you miss and its not your fault. I always check my zero first.. with my 100 it hasn't moved at all tho but I still check just incase I have knocked it
