  1. hello lads, theres a lot of hares lying in cover this year we flushed 5 from a small planting about 4 acres 2 weeks ago when we were beating for foxes, and putting 1 or 2 out every day when we are out from whins, i dont see any on open ground atall.i should think you should start to see them more often now that the phesant season has started and the ground gets tramped more, i have seen a change in the foxes this last few weeks they are going to ground it could be the weather or just the increase in men on the ground with dogs. atb coverdogs

  13. hi folks maybe this has been covered before but i was just wondering what peoples thoughts were on how the terrier has changed since the interduction of the locater collars. i have been hunting for almost 40 years and when i started the terriers we kept or tried to keep were bolting dogs we would have entered a terrier stood back and hoped for a bolt because if it dident bolt it was a long process digging and baring sounding and as any one that done this would know different types of soil gave different sounds some times you would not have heard the dog atall. but now i see the younger men ent

  17. hello sam i use a deben mark 3 collar and an old deben mark 1 grey box works well the mark 1 was a good set up the only thing that let it down was the collar. you can pick a collar up for around 50 pounds and there are plenty of old boxes out there for a few pounds i know this might sound as if i am a tight git not splashing out on a bellman & flint but for someone who started out 35 years ogo with a spade and 6ft bar on high teck stuff back then the deben is a great improvement atb coverdogs.

  20. hi goodman i have been using pedro gold for a while now i find it very good for the price its around 10 or 11 pounds for a 15kg bag i feed it to all my dog in the summer and add meet or fish chicken in the hunting season as i find the dogs will tend to loose weight as it is a high protin food and has not got much carbs a friend of mine started feeding it to his lurcher last year and couldent belive the differance in the dog it was far more livelyer and in great condation. as with all complete foods i always add a oxo cube or gravy changing the flavour every couple of days or so just because if
