    i use a mk3 15ft collar with the old mark 1 16ft grey box works well it was the 16ft collar that gave the most problems boxes are fairley good.

    thanks sniper i dont know mate bought him at the end of last season just liked the look of him would say he is saluki x greyhound with a bit of collie cross in there somewhere , only a young dog 29 ins going well doing the biss on his own and working well with terriers so far so good thanks.

    hi danny 300 good topic i always pair my young dogs up with a old dog i think they stand a better chance of making the grade. thats my thought on the matter might not be everyones.

    nice pics lads great to see the young ones takeing an intrest in hunting. but remember teach them to respect the land and peoples property leave things as they find them . too many lads out there spoiling it for everybody (ps only new on here enjoying the forum an keep the pictures comeing thanks lads)

    this is atrue story about shine on a dogs coat about 30 years ago a friend of mine had a black collie cross lurcher he had a garage at the back of his house and one day a local farmercame to get work done to his car the lurcher was running round the yard his coat wasent in great condation dull and brown in places anybody who had a black lurcher will know what i mean the farmer says to jonny you know what you want for that dog pouron for cattle we had a collie at the farm the same as that we put the pouron on him and uyou wanted to see the shine on him jonny says is that the dog that died

    listen to 123456 advise dont rush it you and your dog have years to learn take the handy slips a young dog can start to bark(open up) on hard slips and will never stop it

    i love this cross they can do all you desire and more i have hade lots off collie crosses in my day first crosses 3/4 crosses 5/8 but not all would work fox try and get a 1/2 collie grey crossed with 3/4 grey 1/4 bull they have just got that little bit of fire in them that an allrounder needs

    hi folks i am new to this forum hence the late reply but the best dogs i have ever seen for hunting cover holding a line and giving tounge well mannered mark and get stuck in if needs be was a wirehaired pointer x hound and not too small to get in to a hole
