Not sure about that last statement... My vw polo didn't do to well when I drove it into a boulder haha not sure if that was my fault tho... I think even vw have their limits mate lol! Wow Japanese air rifles, they would fire laser beam pellets and have a digi display on the stock giving you loads of read outs every time you press the trigger! It would also give you the lap time the pellet took to travel round the Nuremberg track!

Yo river romper I couldn't have put it better! The HW's really are solidly built like all things German I guess, my vw I drive is built like a tank and survived many of my wife's accidents lol!

Can't wait Davy, if I had purchased my 95K that was stage 1 tuned In .177 I would still have it. However it was .22 and then realised the benefits of .177 so sold it. Eager to see how yours performs. Lets hope its a good long vid, I do like a long vhtv vid!

Stink I can't highlight that bit about after sale service on my phone but that is primarily what my post will encompass when I do it. There's a reason I'm holding off for now. Like I said its nothing secret just my saga. Benjamin you won't be disappointed mate when you get your 97 it will be an instrument of pleasure after tony and the team work its potential out. Can we stop this character bashing and SFS bashing please now? Nobody wants to see all this. I feel sorry for the original poster who asked a question and got an episode of Jeremy Kyle back instead! I know I'm not the Intern

I would be more excited about their review than I would with my old tripe mate I can assure you! Ha ha. It's nothing secret or breath taking just wanna detail my saga to you all for the past two months. There will be alot of positives come out of it down to three people that restored my faith.

Skott maybe I still have it in my siggy because I still marvel at its beauty, lol I need help.
-
Elliott and Skott they are awesome rifles when they work and if I had one airgun wish right now it would be to have my pro sport back in fully working order but it won't happen. I'll explain why when I write the thread. I still want one that's how good they are, looks and accuracy I couldn't fault it one bit! It was what was going on under the bonnet that concerned me.

I expect anyone going to purchase a PS this weekend will have done quite some research already and hardly likely to be put off by a single review whatever its content. Mr stink that's very true! Thanks for that.

That's just brilliant! Loving the Harlem shake vids at the moment and that brought a smile to my face lol
-
Ah that will be the kicker as it won't all be negative chum, I have alot of praise for them I can assure any would be buyer. The posts from users that have them on here are evidence of one of the finest rifles ever made, all will become clear.
-
Hopefully after this weekend I'll be in a position to put the post up, its worth waiting for. It will open a few eyes. It won't all be negative but constructive from someone who has had his fingers in many manufacturers pies just recently. Anyone thinking of purchasing a pro sport this weekend might want to wait.

Having owned a tx200 mk3 hc, two air arms prosports, a hw95K and having used various people's tuned and untuned 97's MY money will always go to HW! My experiences with the pro sport are nothing but disappointing and far to in depth to go into on this post, one day soon as promised I'll write a new topic on it for those that are interested. The tx200 is a nice rifle but nothing special and if its just a bog standard rifle you want to be used now and again that will do the job then brilliant, go for one of them! The HW's though in my opinion are just awesome rifles no matter what

I buy new for warranty reasons, also I know the history of the gun and know its not been abused. Not everyone's wallet can stretch to new so if you take the risk of second hand you'll need a bit of luck the rifle is ok. It might take me longer to save for a new rifle as I don't have alot of disposable income for gun rated stuff but would rather that than buy second hand.
-
Wow so much money spent. I have a bog standard pair of wellies that were free and have no lining in them! Two pairs of socks and I'm well warm in them whilst out shooting, what's more my feet stay dry. Would never pay mental money for wellies! But I can see why some would!
-
Yeah loads of us have the same scope mate. Si has the same one on his 97 and I have the same one but with a 40mm objective instead of the 50mm you have gone for. It will be the longest 4 weeks of your life waiting for it, but when you get it you will be well chuffed.
-
Bernie what stage tune did you go for? 1 or 2? How long did tony say you'll be waiting mate?

I found I have to upload photos from my iPhone with the photobucket app, think its called snap bucket. Then go on a computer and log in to photo bucket resize the pictures to 640 x 480 and copy their links into the post on here. Then they show up. Hope that makes sense? Mawders

Nicely done! Wish I was as confident but I just shoot the things and don't bother stripping them. I just see it as an expensive bit of kit to break should I take it apart! Oh and trust me it would break knowing my luck lol.
-
Good scopes, hawke! Nice shooting as well!

Too true buddy. My springers will keep me happy, but i will have another 100 in the future, for me it's the best pcp i've ever used. Should be having my 95 v-glided in a few months. We'll have to get together and have a shoot and compare the v-glide against an SFS stage 2 97!!! All the best. Good idea mate just PM me when your ready. That v-glide should transform the 95. Mawders

It's like watching another man walk off with your wife ain't it haha!

Air Arms Tx200 Mkiii Or The Hw97?
Mawders replied to Ben Hayman's topic in General Airgun Discussion
What will you use it for? Serious competition shooting? Hw97 as you will have the option to get it tuned moving it into a whole different rifle. Hunting only? Both will be fine. Hunting and paper targets or plinking? Both will be fine. Best advice is to go shoulder both and see which one fits the best. Even better would be to shoot both then decide. Both are the best spring rifles money can buy so it will be personal preference in most cases! -
I handled a lovely hw80 today that was silky smooth to cock and fire and the added weight over the 95 helped with its handling. I've owned a hw95 that was stage 1 tuned and was a delight to fire but because of its weight meant I couldn't truly get on with it which was a real shame. If I was to get another break barrel my money would be going on a 98 or an tuned.

£250 is an awesome price for one of those.

Looking forward to the footage Elliott!
