    JFC gun safes are worth looking at . When comparing safe's it's worth getting dimention's. Some safe's have very thick door's to accommodate the lock mechanism which means less room inside the safe and less room when taking the gun out through the door opening. Also look for metal edges around the door frame that can accidentally damage the woodwork when your placing in or removing the gun . Also worth getting a bigger safe than you need . eg , if you have one gun then get a 3 gun safe to give you plenty of room . JFC engineering gun safes.

    Last spring I set a pair of Trapline trap's in a run 5 yds from a Badger set, next day the flap of earth had been rummaged open but the trap's were untouched with a mole in one trap

    I have 120 trapline , bed em properly in the run then they work well, if the ground is to hard to bed the trap in then use other trap's . Darren , I found the same with the spring's , now I leave the spring's free when not in use . Probably had 20 of them stolen off different job's , now I charge the land owner for the missing trap's .

    Your only allowed to shoot what is specified on your firearm's licence . I asked my firearm's dept a few year's ago if they would add Dog's to my licence , their answer was NO . Under no circumstances would I be allowed to shoot a dog with a firearm. If a dog was worrying my livestock I was allowed to shoot it with a shotgun while it was in the act , not allowed to catch the dog and then shoot it . But it must be remembered that this was only the firearm's dept' interpretation of whatever law , if it was a law , that existed at the time .

    Good advice Alsone . I used Express 42g 1's for yrs then tried Eley Alphamax 42 g 1's , both as good as each other. two yrs ago I couldn't get 1's so got a box of Alphamax BB's instead and after seeing the result's , I prefer them. Better penetration and therefore better stopping power.

    Absolute nonsense! Shoot at a pattern plate with true cylinder and then Full choke , then compare .

    Without a choke sleeve is ok , that's your skeet choke. I used one for many year's and thousand's of cartridges with no problem. Keep the nut on the end of the barrel though.

I don't make the rules , i'm only telling you what they are. The fact is , the 300 yard rule exists. Don't question me , ask the firearms dept like I said earlier. As for a .22lr , I wouldn't know anything about that. Why do you ask ? Chap, I'm not looking for an argument, I hear all sorts of baloney on forums and it is best to prove or disprove asap or rumour gets
