  1. Look at JFC, when I bought mine I looked at lot's, JFC had better dimensions and no sharp edges to catch the woodwork on. Why bother getting a deeper one, just turn the rifle + scope sideways so it takes up width not depth, work's fine for me. I keep 2 shotgun's and 2 scoped rifles in my 7 gun shotgun safe.
  2. I've often thought if any migratory bird's have flown from area's affected by Chernobyl fallout
  3. My set up was about £500 3 yrs ago and only have the minimum I needed

  8. Seem's to be a very prolific year for ragwort this year. If you have any growing on your land , you are obligated by law to get rid of it I believe. Non palatable when green and still growing but becomes palatable with increased TOXICITY when dried. Google it.
  9. When you say ' used to work in firearm's' what do you mean?
  10. I watched a fox trying his luck with my cat on the yard last winter, cat was crouched down by a machine and the fox about 8ft away barking at it, scared to get closer. Foxy chickened out in the end
  11. Phil Bennet + Mervyn Davies. One was 5', the other 7' , but both were welsh. Doesn't matter [bANNED TEXT] size, the important thing is being WELSH.
  12. As for which shooting method, it depend's on the target , maintained lead would be better on some target's but swing through better on other's. Whichever method you use, focus 100% on the target untill you see it's dead, if you take your eyes off it the barrel's will stop moving
  13. Could be too much lead, not enough, stopping gun swing, incorrect stance, lots of things. Nigel Hart, St Dial's shooting ground is near Monmouth, might be worth spending an hour with him
  14. do you hit them from one direction and miss from the other? If so , it might be a gun fit problem. Could be a few thing's happening but would need to see you shooting to sort it. What area are you from?
  15. Sweat freezing..... where do you work?
  16. You will feel sweaty if your too hot and sweating more than can evaporate through the gortex membrane, which means you have TOO MANY clothes on
  17. If you sweat in Gortex, you have too many clothes on! If you want to stay dry, then Gortex is the way to go!. Lot's of different coat maker's use the gortex waterproof membrane and coat quality differ's, but the gortex is still waterproof. If you don't mind Army Camo pattern, find an ex army shop and ask for a Dutch Camo Gortex Coat and Trouser's. I bought them, coat was £48 , Trouser's were £38. I stay completely dry however much it rain's while following hound's.
  18. Effective range ? I'd say the same as SportingShooter , 40 yds max but may vary from shooter to shooter. A still shot at 20 yards is very different to a fast moving target at 40 yds
  19. What choke's are in your gun?
  20. The tighter the choke , the further the lead goes before spreading. That's a simple analysis. All gun's have choke, just your old one was fixed choke and this is adjustable / multi choke. 1 * = full choke 2 * = 3/4 3 * = 1/2 4 * =1/4 The further the target , the tighter the choke need's to be to keep the pellet's closer together so that as many as possible hit the target. Shoot at a white tin sheet or similar with the different chokes from 25 yards so you can see the difference
  21. Try BWM Arms Ltd 01235 514550, UK Browning importers
