  1. How many rounds fired through your .223 before it loses accuracy and need's cleaning ?
  2. How many round's has the gun fired since new ? Has the barrel been cleaned properly? If it's fired a lot and never been cleaned it could explain the problem
  3. Forget the FMJ's on live target's , use expanding ammo. Use up the FMJ's on target practice to get used to the trigger and correct technique. As above , buy some factory load's
  4. I just wanted a tool for a job, second hand CZ was available at the right price. Accuracy was terrible . Cleaned the barrel and have never looked back since. Love it. However , taste is individual. You have to like what you buy or it'll never be any good.
  5. As for boresnake's , you either clean the bore properly or not clean at all till you lose accuracy.
  6. Barrel bore get's cleaned every 40 round's fired. Stainless steel mod has never been cleaned
  7. Try www.reloadingsolutions.com Kiddlington Oxford
  8. Have a look at MAE moderator's. JMS arms, Julian Savoury , Sussex 01444 400126
  9. Ditto. Handling charge has always been between £12 and £15 for my item's, no matter what the weight or cost. I ordered clothing from USA last autumn and it came in the post , no extra charges. i ordered the same again this year , came on a carrier with VAT and carriage .
  10. VAT + UK carrier charge , usually payable before delivery. If custom's miss them going through then happy day's . Let us know how much they have cost you once you have them , as I need to get some more.
  11. I was obviously mistaken with the mental capability of the people on here.
  12. I already checked those print chart's. Couldn't find any comparison. But thank's for your invaluable input paulus
  13. Only found 1 footprint in a gateway on the roadside
  14. Can anyone identify this footprint I found in west wales yesterday? The penknife is 3 3/4 inches long
  15. Has anyone had terrier's with TB?
  16. Anyone with any common sense can see that a mounted pack and a shooting pack can work together in one area and both have a great season. But when Joe Bloggs decides to keep a rebel pack of hound's and then push into a long established hunt's area with no regard or respect , there's no wonder that we hear thing's like ' the wild west '.
  17. A competency course , I agree Macky. Lot's of people also need to learn to respect their quarry , whatever it is , after all their sport and enjoyment depend's on the animal
  18. The fox might have already been killed by a car when the hound's got there
  19. If you need more three shot's to kill an animal then you shouldn't have a gun
  20. Common sense and experience talking. Great post. ps , remember , there are no vital organ's in the back end
  21. Distance would depend on your cartridge / choke combination and your level of competency / experience. 40 yard's for an experienced shooter might be the same as 20 yard's for an inexperienced shooter. As for the reason for missing , there are so many possible answer's.
  22. I believe they use Zeiss lenses , I used a second hand 8x56 Docter scope on a .222, great clear sight, I now use a 4.5 - 14 x40 with adjustable Parallax on a .204 Ruger. Perfect clear sight . Preferred the 56 mm bell though
  23. I have it in .204 , heavy trigger, which I replaced with a Rifle Basix trigger. Wouldn't group when I had it new, front sling stud was too long , went through the forend and actually touched the barrel , filed it down , great grouping ever since. Very happy with it since. I lamp with it , added a Harris bipod 1 1/2 lbs , scope 1 1/2 lbs , moderator 1 1/2 lbs don't find the weight an issue. Great accuracy
