They are great too have around once you get used too them. Full of fun and happy creatures if you sort out the breeding issues as joe said. Best thing I had done was castrate my hob he turned into a bundle of fun instead of the sex mad grease monkey he was
I wouldn't be with out mine now

As soon as you can let the pup nose through the cage front if it can and let them mingle in the yard. If the ferret nips the pup all well and good at an early stage better now than later and things should be fine as the pup grows up with them
Glad that ended well would have been a sad story other wise.
Losing a dog too ground was all ways my worst fear in the old days. I used to weigh it up in my mind risking a dog you have got attached too but on the other hand you have to let them do what they love and I wouldn't have it any other way
Y
EH 2012 OOOPS SORRY YES IT WAS BUD
Yea I really enjoyed it he seems a tidy chap and you cant blame him for throwing the old strop at times with all that attention.
Be interesting too see how the tour shapes up next year
If you can find a spot where there is a drop down too the rabbits retreat so your hidden from view as you lay the net ( I think the term is blind set not sure though ) that would be handy. Or a spot where the rabbits go through a small field into a bigger one so you have a hedge between you.
I had a tidy night the other night when conditions were far from perfect with clear sky and no wind and I thought it would be a waste of time but it wasn't
Used too follow the Carmarthenshire many years ago when Lyn was there followed by Trevor. I used too do the skinning for them. Met some good terrier lads from the valleys doing it too
Surprising how far they travel from where you see them. Chances are when they hop in the cover they are going a fair old way or just sitting out in the cover unless pressed too ground
The wife keeps banging on about Skirlie but proper oatmeal is as rare as rocking horse shite down here and live yet to try it..
Going to try the health food shops next time I'm in town, tried everywhere else..
They had some in aldi the other day
I take it you don't have a dog ? like me in which case it is a struggle but keep at you will hit gold at some point and it is well worth it then. As you say just 1 rabbit is a big success
I had this one the other weekend after doing about 7 empty sets of holes made it all worth while
