A lake full of rainbow's 50m from your front door, your a very lucky man, have a look on youtube there must be people on there showing you how to cast a fly, watch over and over and you will soon get the hang of it, try the tackle shop and explain your situation and all you need is a beginner's set up, he should set you up ok because he want's you coming back to buy his fly's and so on, good luck. ps if you know any fly angler's, i'm sure they will let you have a cast or two and also explain how it all goes together, the main thing i find people don't understand is that your line is your w

You can't beat location, if they are already there, well half your job is done, i can't be arsed with all these new idea's and gizmo's, i keep it simple and do ok, make my own boilies, which dont't end up costing me much, about £3-50 a kg when the ingredient's are bought in bulk, i use a bit of hemp and tiger's, they do ok aswell, try nashy's new bait, the key, i think it's £15 for about 30 boilies, must be brilliant at that price.

As northern lad say's, year's ago you went and worked it out on your own, a lot of non piker's threw them up the bank when they got any clamped on to their roach, trout angler's even worse.The piker's that were around was not many and kept their head's down, all kept it to themselves, but boy when you got one, a smile from ear to ear, all this was only 2 winter's ago, good luck.

Exactly, they are up and down the salmon river's. I believe in the licence money going to the right place not just the salmon and trout brigade, something goes wrong on one of their river's and it's all out at all cost's but coarse fish being took for the table or oxygen problem's and they turn up 2-3 day's later.

I'm not moaning about a rod licence, i'm moaning over the ea not doing there job, nothing to do with a licence i have had one every year and will carry on having one while i carry on fishing.A local lake had a weed problem that was taking over the lake, the ea were informed that there were problems with fish dying and a lot of other fish gasping for air at the top, did they come out, did they fukc, the local's who most of them don't fish the lake ended up in chest wader's and some without, clearing what they could, it was the height of summer and hot day's so was ok, but the ea should of done

How many of you have had your licence checked, i haven't had mine checked for over 2 year's and i'm thinking should i bother this year, i know it's sods law what will happen if i don't get one i would be over the moon if i got asked for my licence, but would then end up telling him what i think of the e.a. and not doing there job properly, i'm all for a few perk's at work but they are taking the piss, so was just wondering how other angler's get on with them. ps. I will still end up getting one but it pisses me off.

Same as above mate, could always try a bit of wobbling/sink and draw, i like a roach or a live bait roach.I would keep moving along the canal every 30min, try around bridges or barges any sort of feature, good luck.

I just wouldn't choose a surface lure, but many catch on them, i would choose a few four play in different pattern's and also a few of the rubber shads from savage gear, if all else fails they say the shakespear big s has caught more pike than any other lure but they are a bit different now, depends how deep the water is that your fishing, i like to be able to crank down to the bottom if i have to but find mid water suits as i don't fish deep water's much. You could always have a deadbait out while you cast about, good luck mate.

Something i would love to have a go at is bass fishing, i'd imagine lure fishing but whatever is best on the day i suppose, wouldn't know were to look for them, i imagine they come close in if you can hit them with lures, also is summer the best time for them.

Not something i would try in the winter but on some occasions they are worth a try, like you said takes can be explosive and most are only jacks, good luck mate.

I think most of us who bother with the horses have had a few quid out of him and lost plenty more, but what a sportsman, the dedication of him is unbelievable, he will be missed but i imagine he will still be in the sport, channel 4, racing uk, or at the races would be mad not to grab him, good luck to A,P.

My mate did say switch back over to the skybox when watching the football as picture quality is better.

I was using a skybox (what i called chipped) but last week got this other box and iv'e just looked properly at it and its got a pic of a green (alien) android on it and is called smart media player, i admit i don't have a clue how to sort them but have a mate who say's he puts the info on them and brings it down for me, this new one is brilliant, got everything, watched taken 3, american sniper(brilliant) and a few others, best thing ever.

I find the picture quality great, i don't know why anyone would pay for sky unless they don't know about the boxes.

I don't think zappa get's enough of a shout on guitar greatness but i suppose that he wasn't in everyone's music collection as much as others but but he could twang them string's when it come to it great to hear satriani, it's been a while.
