The electric shock from a fence can put a dog off going to the hedge. So replace hedge with ewe, and thats what a collar does. A very good device used with common sense. -

If you want good writing you should look at Robert S Surtees mate, a bit heavy at first but brilliant. I would class DB Plummer as an arch bull shitter, inventing himself on Tuesday and writing a book by Friday type of bloke, but sadly expecting us all to believe his blarney, but still better than J Darcy.

Hes not much of a writer really imo more of a compiler of other peoples stories. Like Harcomes books they are a lot of bragging but not much help either. I thought Plummer was more entertaining myself.

My only problem with that is all the pheasant feeders are full in late autumn on this shoot and so I have to feed peanuts to bring them in, which started going up in price by silly amounts just lately. Ive made it now so only Squiz can get them with a door but they still go through a few, but I dont mind really.

Not really, just a few youngsters. Last time I was out before this in August I shot 5 all adult males. The time before that I had I think 16, but Im no expert, I havnt been shooting Squirrels long.

I liked your opinions on breeding, and you are right that I have never bred any great or even very good terriers. Ive owned a couple of decent terriers and probably the best being a Border who died in the ground. All I have to look back on regards terriers is some very enjoyable digs and days out. Ive been out with several off here and had some great sport and some not so good, but thats not for talking about on here. Lurchers have always been my first love and we havnt kept terriers for a number of years but for what its worth I think terriers are one of the hardest workers to produce because
