never ran any my dogs with a collar on but never seen a dog get snagged either by those that do,i dont take the chance when i got 30kilo of dog crashing through woodland and hedges, each to their own i suppose

my dogs pads are hard through every day wear and tear would half these remedies your talking about not cause the feet to crack even easier or through drying out,thought bit give in the pad would help to be fair,i dont know lol

as willow said lurcher dont need to hear them yipping when they on something, my lurcher over sees the bushers totaly when they in the cover yapping or not and hopefuly gets in position for a bolt,but i love it when they start kicking off i know somethings happening brings out the childish exited nature in me although on a serious note mine have put plenty up out the back of cover and away,i know when they in full cry what direction i need to head off in and although its not generaly far i have often found my lurcher standing over a kill so it defo has its benefits for me in finding them quic

hard work filming most time cover i work they are un seen although you certainly know when they on something,i did say that if the terrier is to steady them up id not want a full spaniel but as willow said the older one i have i never got as a pup although he certainly come good now but just watching this pup working alone seems very steady to me,certainly not put off by the hard going round here and knows what he looking for,pleasure to own and bring on and for that im grateful of getting him
