took the missus out one night to hold my hand the perfect lamping night in fact, after 10 min she told me in language that came easy to an essex girl i was a complete fecking idiot walking round in the dead of night not knowing whos out there and what they might do to me she was back home within 20 min and never mentioned shall we take the dog out again but would throw a look only a woman can when i said im off out lol
-
as iv said before in 25 year iv only ever lamped with three other lads so what are the advantages of lamping alone, well for me none of that meeting up at certain times places etc only to get a no show for one reason or another,i go when i like where i like(ok within reason i suppose only having very limited permission lol) for as long as i like.any night dont matter to me never let work commitments get in the way of a night out but obviously im only going fairly local not covering hundreds of miles on a weekday although weekends dont matter. never been afraid to jump in and get hands on shoul

I do, but when it's dark I like to have a mate with me lolid say 90% people who lamp lamp with someone. Nearly every post on here is with someone. Lol but ohhhh noo, how dare I mention it haha in 25 year iv only ever lamped with 3 other lads and that was in the early days of me starting out getting my first dog, learnt how not to do it then went it alone lol.

happened to one of mine but it was still on the vets table, just as she was warning me the needle does make quite a big hole and they sometimes fall out
-
she a nice little bitch but guess falls long way short of being a decent bushing dog, anything to big that has to belly crawl through tight bramble cover with their back legs splayed out behind them to enable it to push through the tightest of cover aint up to the job imo, although as you say handy little mooching tool atb,as said above cant fault the spaniel x terrier types, ideal for heavy cover totally agree mate.cocker x terrier is the next dog al be having as soon as I find a good litter good luck getting what your after

i think you would have be one hell of a talented shooter to take out woodies with a pistol, catapult definitely imo
-
yeah seen it happen, had one years ago that would not get involved if any other dogs were present,to busy looking out for itself and keeping its distance rather than work, may well have improved over time who knows

yep,right over my head lol

is there any difference then?using the word busher almost comes across as a one trick pony type where in reality a decent busher is more than capable of as you say being all purpose,a good one will take readily to working with the ferrets,as well as bushing rabbits and taking rats and have enough spirit to shift larger stuff that may be reluctant to bolt ,just asking not sure what you mean exactly mate cheers
-
you still not sent me your address mate
-
arses up,the pair of them only ever mark a set holes when a rabbits been pushed down, every where i take them is full rabbits but they never mark holes, quick head in sniff and move on ? guess if they both learnt the ferreting game things may been different no reason to tell me theres anything in there if i aint doing feck all about it lol
-
hope it continues that way for you not something id ever take on again lol atb
-

lot carp in these fish every cast type of lakes are like that,i see steve ringer fishing once at drayton showing how important it is to get weight in the net for a competition.every cast was a fish on he just kept the rod low and parallel to the bank and wound in fast as he could until it came in range of the landing net, total dissregard to the welfare of the fish supposed to be a class angler anyone got a decent pic of it they can put up on here be good cant see it on fb cheers

well later today i managed to inherit a weihrauch hw35 .177 (do i need to laugh at this point)it is what it is,pretty bad shape lot rust on barrell butt scratched up, gave it quick oil up and put couple pellets through it just to check it worked lol,so iv separated barrel from stock want give it some needed attention, where do i start.any good you tube vids worth a watch?or should i not really bother with it just a good clean up and use as it is cheers The 35 is a handy little rifle, very manageable in the field, and if all you need it for is a bit of medium-range hunting, then it will
