    Ok downloaded loads of these some are ok but lots have to much background noise so not quite as good as they first sounded. good news I called it in with the fox caller uk although it can only do one type of call done this early morning came from about 100 yards from when i first saw it came into 8 yards which is when i shot it dead. so thank you to all you nice people giving there pennies worth. I may now have a another couple of hundred acres from this to. Which ones were any good?

    Good luck Clare - really, all you were doing was sharing some pics of your new litter from your ratting terriers that actually get out and do some ratting work; and would have been happy to get a few 'nice pups' type comments.     Finally, a break in the weather - I'm off out at the pigeons tomorrow!

    I prefer mine as fresh as possible, so unless I'm going to cook them the next day (or that day or evening), I breast and freeze them on the day I shot them. Just my preference as I'm a fussy bugger (borderline OCD).

    good advice and it certainly worked for me recently - I phoned the prospect and said "Hi ..... I 've been shooting for X,Y and Z along your borders, and it seemed to make sense to me to see if I can control pests on your land too. Joined up thinking. Would you have any objection to me controlling pests on your land too?" or words to that effect. Landed me 650 acres of mixed land, the best I have to date.

    Correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought one of our less sane laws said you couldn't use an electronic recordings to decoy quarry?

    I remember reading in one of the airgun rags years back about some aussie guy head shooting rabbits at about 120 odd yards with a 20fpe bsa pcp. For out and out precision, i think pcp's beat rimmies in the consistency stakes.

    have you ever tried the brains pal? it's never even occurred to me, might give it a go though. Surely a rabbits brain is tiny though? same size as a chav's/bmw drivers brain.

    tbh, the ones towards the end are better - you don't have to ponce about with your hands though as you're not playing to the camera! Just draw air in over your teeth thru pursed lips til it sounds convincing. Best of luck mate, Duncan

    Hi guys, I'm looking for recommendations for a .243 as Weihrauch don't seem to do one. It'll be for fox, small deer and occasional larger deer stalks. Looking for a 'buy it once and not replace it' kind of rifle
