  1. Hi folks, A customer gave me an SMK rifle - don't get excited its the cheapest one they do. There's a stock screw missing and it has a 4x20 scope on it (smk). Anyhoo, its free to anyone who wants to collect it - I'm in N Bucks, 4 miles form J14 of the M1. Cheers D.
  2. Dunno about that.... I Plan on deleting a few things tomorrow night..... Wonder if getting pissed improves my shooting??.... Seems to help with my shotgunning! Can't shoot without a slight hangover lol!
  3. I got a hand powered grinder for £10 off ebay 5 years ago - still works A1
  4. You want to get out more why cos i dont eat shit you wanna try some proper food mate and if you think curry is so great, then i think you need to get out more what a wierd thing to say! why would you be so against curry just cos you don't eat it? can't beat a good curry, use the curry paste rather than a jar though, takes longer but it's proper bang on! aye, nearly as weird as what torchey said sorry bud, didn't see that.....live and let live when it comes to something as irrelevant (to other people) as what food you eat, that's what I say. You're right though, cu

  6. Hi folks, as title suggests, I am looking to get my almost brand new hummer fitted with a new barrel to replace the (US illegal) 14" one with a standard length, unscrewcut barrel. Does anyone know what I would have to pay for this. At Donaldsons in Fenny Stratford, Bucks reckoned about £600! But they are always ridiculously pricy in my experience. Any ideas or recommendations guys? Cheers Duncan.
  7. You won't hurt it by slinging some lead through it
  8. A long project I know, but I give portions of a really good, tasty rabbit stew to work colleagues and acquaintances to try. They seem to like it (an awful lot in some cases) and this can only go towards raising awareness and demand for them. If everyone did it, I'm sure the market for wild bunny would increase. Like I said; it's a long term project!
  9. Any pics mate? Very nice rifles - underlever repeater if I remember correctly? A friend had one and seemed very pleased with it and yes, that was in .22 flavour. Have you tried it out yet? D.
  10. lose the 400, then the wife and move the nubile girlfriend in Seriously though, a while back the Mrs says to me "Now you've got the rimfire, the hmr and the shotguns, are you going to sell your air rifle?" Naturally, the look on my face said it all.
  11. I use the same mod for both my .22lr and .17hmr with no problems whatsoever.
  12. PMSL!!! Been towed by the Ridgebacks on a skateboard for a laugh, and it was indeed the recipe for disaster it sounds!
  13. All together now...."aahhhhhh!" Adorable potentially very useful looking too
  14. If its a .22lr and you're only shooting standard subsonic lead bullets, quite frankly I wouldn't worry too much about cleaning the barrel. That's more for metal jacketed bullets. So your friend is right - just shoot and enjoy, but give the blueing a wipe down with an oily rag to protect it and keep it shiny On my HW60 J (HMR) I used walnut oil on the stock to give it extra protection and shine with a couple of coats. ENJOY!!! Duncan.
  15. Nice going Les! I shot a crow with white flashes on its wings a couple of weeks ago with the rimmie. Since then I've seen a few more too. I'd rather shoot 1 crow or Magpie than 5 rooks, for conservation reasons. Well done matey Duncan.
  16. I'm made up for you Tom; doubtless you'll soon put it thru its paces and fill your game bag What do you make of the autoload system? I bet you're like a dog with 2 d1cks right now! Cheers Duncan.
  17. Shooting grey squirrels with my pcp is one of my favourite hunting sports Delicious little b*ggers too! Well done mate. Duncan
  18. Dogs really have their uses! I went roost shooting today with a solid member of the THL and he used his lurcher to retrieve the shot birds. Excellent he was too, knew the job, did as he was bid and found birds in thick uncoppiced woods with ease. He was bloody fast doing it By all accounts he is an excellent runner too - master of all trades? I've seen some of it for myself now. Cheers Duncan.
  19. You may be over egging the pudding Cookie. MD can be a broadly defined title you're placing on his shoulders
  20. I'd also say do a springer first. A pcp will teach you nothing. If you can consistenty shoot a springer accurately, your set for all following calibres of rifle in principle. The technique of relaxed hold, breathong and follow through is the same. You can get away with poor technique with a pcp, whereas a springer will punish you for it by missing. MHO of course I'd also concur with Secretagentmoles recommendation of an HW95k, .22 would be my choice and keep ranges sensible. ATB and good luck, Duncan.
