  1. Maybe if I were to sip a few more nips from the Glenmorangie bottle?
  2. LMAO! I couldn't bring myself to get one personally - a net suit is as far as I go If I had one though, I would feel compelled to wear it round tesco's. D.
  3. I thought it was a midget at first! Even so, that's one hell of a size. D.
  4. Nice one. They probably want to warn you against any repeat offences in the future immediately revoking your license. ATB Duncan.
  5. Not pigeons, but magpies, ferals , a crow and some phat pheasants
  6. Sounds like an excellentg solution to me, bud. Duncan.
  7. kinel dunc id get writers cramp theres that fecking many, basically owt but curry Favourite game meals then? Roast Pheasant? mmmm!
  8. On my multi, I actually bought a new, latest version of the mag - no improvement. And to think I parted with an absolutely mint and perfect HW95K for it - I Could weep
  9. A crowbar and pick up and you'd have lots of 'hot' firearms. Even the dog they have doesn't bark when you knock at the door!
  10. Lamping tends to be far more successful after the height of summer- they tend to get more nocturnal. You'll see the odd 1 or 2 out during sunny days but mostly they feed at night now. So its either lamping with air rifle or rimfire, or ferreting really. ATB Duncan.
  11. For the record, I hate the mmc on the Ultra and had nothing but problems from the autoload system on the multi-shot. D.
  12. Car walking, climbing flagpoles to steal coca cola flags, shagging some entirely forgettable birds, getting off with some memorable ones... Semi dislocated my thumb trying to beat the 1000 barrier on a punch measuring game in a club in Devon, couldn't get passed 990. Discovered in the cold light of day it only had a 3 digit display.
  13. Sometimes you just need to put the rifle down for a couple of days/weeks and chill out. I for one have most definitely had some crap days shooting , but the more you try and the more stressed you get, the worse things happen. So take a big sweet chill pill, go back in a few days time and start from scratch on paper and get some confidence back. We do this to relax eh?? Cheers and all the best Duncan.
  14. Hi folks, I took a trip out with my very good friend Chris (Bruno22rf) rimfires and the hmr to hunt some farmyard vermin and corvids. Having found that the rats have lost their bravado for being out during the day, we mooched around the farmyard with our rimmies and saw little other than feral pigeons of which we took 1 apiece at a very moderate 40 ish yards. I fed mine to the pigs - they thrashed the feathers off it and crunched it down like a bloody toffeecrisp From a gate I managed to nobble a crow at about 90 yards with my recently acquired CZ 511 semi, with an rws subsonic.
  15. Fortunately I've had 5 years of incredibly good service from my own HW100S, but if I'd parted with the thick end of 700 notes and had problems as described, I would have been demanding a replacement rather than a fix, either that or a full refund. As said, I'd be getting in touch with Weihrauch, explain the problems and how dissappointed you are with such a high quality gun going wrong and look for some kind of recompense. They do have a reputation to uphold and the germans take their reputations very seriously. I'm sure this is the best course of action. All the best Duncan.
  16. Without even thinking, I removed the required amount of skirting board and secured it directly to the wall and floor. It didn't occur to me to do it any other way. As long as its solid and you can't get a crowbar in to lever it away, I don't see the FEO having a problem with it. Cheers D.
  17. I know of an rfd in Bucks who has his stock in a wooden shed, albeit with a security steel door. No alarms either! The mind does indeed boggle! D.
