    The wife just reminded me.... Use to take the young lurcher socialisation classes at a local dog training club.... One lady had a fat lurcher.....with boots on... Said lurchers cant sit.....and needed boots because their feet are so soft..... Free running was a NO- GO and walking was minimum.... I said look as the muscle on your dogs back end....which was non existent.....appaling if you ask me..... Then look at my 6 month pup..... She then replied that too much muscle was bad..... Didnt go for too long.....

    "I don't eat meat actually. I see that as murder as humans are evolved enough to be capable of surviving without killing for food. My dogs do however as dogs are carnivores and haven't evolved enough for them to thrive on a plant based diet. Actively encouraging a dog to chase and kill is wrong! I don't particularly want to debate the issue with you as I've learned with experience that it's not worth my time and people like you are usually a lost cause. I'll just count to 10, hug my babies extra tight and get on with my life. "

    So....RM put up a post on the 'scottish greyhound sanctuary' forum about my lurchers accident.... And i got well wishes etc.... had to sign up to view the content (like this forum should be).... Anyway....i put a couple of pictures up of cassie before the accident...running...playing etc.... one of them was with her first catch...a rabbit.... And there was uproar at the photo....even got a message from a mod explaining that the photo was appalling...and placed on some 'watch list' by the mods.... Comments we to the tune of "killing a poor defenceless animal'....and so on.....

    If i had a van just for me?.... Id put cages in...would build them out of ply with a lot of mesh..... Reason is....id be able to go to any game fairs.....shows....camping.....and leave the back doors of the van open with the dogs still inside.... i would make them lockable and safe etc... Ferret hutch in the back for ferreting trips.... But i dont really need a van...so ill not be getting one...... But thats what id do if it was just me ... Id probably do too much to it...... got an inventive mind you see Ive got ideas for a fold down bed in a small transit type..

    Had an astra estate.... tailgate guard (boot guard)....and it was spot on.... Mine was a 54 plate...1.6 lpg.... so good enough for the dogs.... Was very spacious and good on fuel...cheap to run etc.... Seat protectors sorted the seats out from muddy boots.... Mine went tiits up the day before i traded it in for my current motor.... An A4 estate... If i had a motor for ME.... i would go for a small van.....such as a combi van or similar..... Kit it out and put cages stacked up on one side....for the dogs....would be easy to do with some ply..... A small ferret c

    Prince andrew visited the families of the soldiers deployed to afghanistan at the minute.... Out of literally thousands of photos taken in the couple of hours or so.... They decided to put this one (amongst others) on the royal webpage..... The lady lives 3 doors down from me.... Which makes it HILARIOUS.... Was laughing with her about it this morning.... :laugh:

    Had the ferrets out on the front for half an hour or so... Next doors kid wanted to handle them...so decided to fling a couple of harnesses on them and let them walk then around for a few minutes... then back in the shade.... It was nice and cool under the poncho...id set ir up half an hour previously and soaked the ground with the hose....so it was nice for them

    I remember being told that the previous pony died of alcohol poisoning as the Pony Major at the time was an alcoholic. After morning parade him and the horsey just went and got pissed. The Paras also have a Shetland pony, predictably called Pegasus. 2 shetlands....pegasus and falkland The RRS mascot has just retired.... New one now in place i believe....

    I RECIEVED A REPLY TO MY EMAIL TODAY.... Thank you for your email. We have not scrapped the Terrier and Lurcher show this year – the club we supported last year to attend (including priority parking, special escort onto site during the event for public safety reasons, sponsorship of rosettes, provision of materials and building of three show rings, wristbands for competitors etc.) was unable to attend for two days this year. As you can imagine, all of the above takes up a considerable area and time to organise and providing all of this for one day only would leave a large area em
