  1. This comes up time...and time...and time...and time....and time again.... Do a search.... or look a page or 2 back.... Beddy whippet?..... Is the new.... Bull x?....
  2. Not that i can tell early on mate.... But it doesnt feel as strong as the recycled hdpe we have made.... One of mine is about 10mm thick and has no flex in it whatsoever
  3. Got to a agree countryjoe..... For me..... i like to enjoy the show.... I dont want to know how many foxes your dogs smashed or how many deer..... Too many people want to shout it from the rooftops.... to any tom, dick and harry.... Bores the shiit out of me.... Even more so when theyre telling a women with a 2 year old child!
  4. Hdpe is the way forward for me.... Theres a place for nice wooden cattys.... multiplex...hardwoods....naturals etc.... But of late...hdpe has become an unbeatable material for strong.... durable catapults.... That are easy to work with.... Whether it be recycled milk cartons...bleach bottles and the like..... Or a pre-made sheet of hdpe.... I purchased this off ebay... 100mm wide.... 300mm long.... And 12mm thick.... for around a fiver... Went for 12mm so its nice and thin....pocketable etc.... Soon see if its as strong as the recycled ones i make Manag
  5. There ye go pal!!! No stopping you now... Gonna crack a few more recycled hdpe cattys next week.... theres something satisfying about them
  6. I would rate hydrotherapy It wasnt the sole factor in sorting my dog out.... but one of many in a long and arduous process
  7. NEVER in a million years, i'm sure in the past we have all bought one thinking they will be useful. And every single one of us will have realised after the first spit they are as suitable as tits on a boar............... They have their uses.... But are no substitute for a big spade...
  8. Make up your mind! 4 inches or a centimetre?!?! 1 single Cm In 'depth'
  9. That mini catty i made is 4" wide and 5" long... And less than a centimetre wide...
  10. Not not wood wax..... I just used candle wax which worked...
  11. Just hang to dry in the garage mate.... and forget about them.... only takes a few months.... Tip i got told.... dip the ends of the wood in wax.... stops it drying out and splitting.
  12. The mocrowave works But be aware!!!.... I set my microwave on fire...... Best way to do it.... 10 seconds in microwave..... LEAVE TO COOL.... 10 seconds..... LEAVE.... Do that for a few goes until its dry
  13. Youve not grasped my point again..... 12 quid entry to a gamefair..... 17quid at lowther..... + fuel.....food.etc..... Even if you didnt buy anything.... £25/30+ quid entry for a couple.... more if youve got kids.... For a dog show?..... If i wanted to meet up with people at a dog show..... id go to the local...and not so local ones.... theres hundreds around.... And theyre a great way of meeting people....without costing an arm and a leg to get in....
  14. Understand what your saying .... But a rough time would suffice.... Racing away from the show etc.... But... if your not going a gamefair to buy anything....watch displays....etc..... Your paying £12+ quid to go to a dog show... Get my point? Im not trying to be funny.... but i go a gamefair because i enjoy the day out.... with the family.... Not because i want to show or race the dog....
  15. I was apalled there wasnt a lurcher show on the sunday...... But after thinking about it..... After paying my entry fee to the game fair.... £12....£17...+...... Last thing im wanting to do..... let alone the wife and wee man..... Is stand at a show ring for most the day....waiting for 1/2 classes to come up.... Its a total waste of a day..... Theres shows all over the country.....all over britain.... couple of quid entry........ What would make it worthwhile?...... 2 simple things...... ..... times for classes....so you can go away and come back knowing yo
  16. They dont 'melt' as such..... They will go all 'gooey' and have the consistency of toffee..... Then whack them in the press
  17. Hide and collars... And the lurcher with a blackdog collar on.... forgive the shiite pic... As i said, the cheap blackdog collars are the best-cheap...leather collars ive seen.... Dont be under any illusions, theyre cheap leather... cheap fittings etc.... But if a chesp use and abuse leather collar is what your after.... Theyre good
  18. Blackdog trading collars are great for the price... Not looked at collars for a while..... as mine wear the nylon house collars in the house..... I bought a pair of ss collars a while back for the whippet and the lurcher..... Definitly looks good on the wee 19.5" whippet.... Aarons gear is top class..... no doubting that..... But i do like leather collars too...... Especially on the smaller....whippet types..... Ive got both and chop and change as i wish Hide and collars do some good collars as do 'harris and watson'....
  19. Is it a plain square similar to mine? Or a 'mould' shaped like a catty?
  20. 'Softy' type jacket... very similar to the military one which are the dogs bollockss This, i bought for myself a few years ago.... windproof and shower proof.... Re-inforced elbows..... Usually used as an under-layer (ontop of tshirt....under big jacket). but i think this would be fine on top.... aslong as its not pissing down.... Fleece lined and snug as fcuk Used but in great condt.... Size MEDIUM.... (hence sale ) £45 posted
