ive ran dogs single and doubled up and find that doubled up more productive as in numbers but injurys are often greater as the dogs tend to try and claim fox for them selves often resulting in fox getting hold of the dog and the other dog ripping it of it -
just wondering how many of you train pups useing the old dog and how many of u do the training to quarry with pup only and to what would you slip pup on by its self and at what age do you consider the pup to be able to go it alone on the quarry preban of course

socialize the pup as much as you can .dogs ,people trffic the lot . no rush , just letit be a pup play with it as much as possible and form the bond /trust your the boss not the dog !! oh and be f..kin patient cheers pall ive got the kids to play with him and he lives with other dogs -
are the salukis slow to come on as pups and at what age would you start apup of the pup ive got dont seem intrested in bunny skin dummyies its 4 month old and im trying to get it to carry back but no joy as yet it seems little nervous but its been like that since 6 weeks old ive never had a pure bred before so advice please

was up hexham in middle of field fell down fcking hole broke my tibia and fibia and my foot was facing wrong way round that was 2 year ago now still gives me jip ive also got plate in my face and round eye socket after chasing fallow dear down south pre ban of course was trying to beat me pall to the slip crossed country road which had road works with railings round me being daft twat went thru railing to get their first and ended up face down on a gas pipe with me mate pissing himself laughing in hospital for op next day after 300 mile in agony to get back home

hi lads ive been getting new pups to hope fully see me many a season hunting ive now got a pure bred saluki dog pup which is 4 months old and was given me by a pall its supposed to have snowy lines in it and a bull x which my good palls bred thru well tried and tested dogs of which my old dog fred is the grandsire ive also now got three generations off my border terrier bitch plus my twelve month old bull bitchcross i bred myself this group will be my team for the future they storm saluki rock bullx dog sky bullx bitch tilly kizzy kezz my borders

a toe off now mate will prolong your dogs working life ive had this problem several years ago and honestly strapping isnt a option id be taking its to hit and miss and the toe will never be the same and a problem waiting to happen have it taken off and the dog will be working to its full ability by xmas with no diffrence to its catch rate

i myself would give a dog more than a fair chance to prove its self as a worker and freeezer filler if all fails id get pts humanely as the kennels and rescue centers full of dogs and id hate to think a dog of mine was stuck in kennels when it was use to better as far as im concerned people passing on sub standard dogs which then do the rounds passed from place to place are the people to blame for the many shite dogs being bred off a dog bred to work isnt meant to be a pet but some pet dogs that havent worked being bred for money as workers making more jackers put a shite dog down and

a lurcher that doesnt jump will always find someway to get over and ive never felt the need to go equipt with tool bag myself the gates are always big enough for me and dogs why would anyone want to cut fences its just not done mate

her fat weight at the start of this season was 2lb 12 1/2 oz she was flown at 2lb 5 3/4 at the end of her last season and would still come to fist at 2lb 6 1/2 oz but was slow to come and wasnt hunting at that weight just to fist
