thats rubbish worked small terriers all my life never a problem the only time they slowed up was when they were older took longer to get over a days hunting,any terrier would be knackered working cover everyday,

ratting with terriers is a fine sport and the rat a worthy opponent, the excitement both man and dog get at seeing a rat bolt never ceases to amaze me,terriers that hunt rats are tough little dogs that take a good bit of punishment from the hard biting rat during a days ratting especially if there's rats in number these dogs certainly earn there keep,Keith keep up the good work with them plummer terriers true sporting terriers.

ok,it might be worth you getting a spaniel training dvd or look on you tube there's a few training clips on there.

keep her close from the start dont let her run on to far,then use your whistle to change direction but again keeping her close,have you done all the basic training with her first.

get yourself a springer spaniel mate.

personally mate id get one, two pups to train would be a lot of work, couldn't you get some one to see to the pup for you during the day for some interaction, play socialising etc if not you got to question weather you should be getting a pup.
