  1. all the working type terriers make good ratters the russells,patterdales,fells etc just make sure its had its jabs,and no its not wasting a good terrier ratting is good honest work for a terrier.
  2. walshy could i ask what you think of the hornet as i was thinking of getting one my self next year,been hearing all sorts comments about the rifle cheers
  3. worked with a lad who had a terrier and lurcher kenneled together for ten years got up one morning to find lurcher had crushed the terriers head

  5. i agree fallow buck i to see the old times coming back, the way the goverment is squeezing the working man we'll end up back hunting out of need aswell as picking your own fruit and veg etc [in the dark],i think people have lived of there lurchers and i think they will again.
  6. i started mine by putting dryed out pheasant wings on a training dummy although you could use any bird wings,as for people saying why use a lurcher for feather the lurcher was bred to take fur and feather a poacher needed a dog that could do just that,a lurcher can do a lot more than just run after something.
  7. ok mate dogs differ some pick it up faster than others your bitch will from now on start to put it all together iv had terriers slow to enter cover untill they know the fun they can have in there then you cant stop them, although you do get some dogs that love it more than others,
  8. dry cat food when you got no meat,a handfull would do a ferret easily for a day,i put two hand fulls in with three ferrets a day,in summer only put a small amount of meat in at a time and clear out daily flys everywhere otherwise,in winter can leave meat in longer with no problems

  10. The smallest Ferrets i have ever seen in my life is some i picked up local and took down South for Blind date off here.
