  1. Thanks The course lasted just over 2 minutes. I actually have the uncut version of the Fieldfare Challenge on tape thank God, because the one that was sold had been edited to make it look like Tay jacked on the 1st hare , when in actual fact both dogs put the hare in a suff, and while tay was stood having a pee, the other dog started coursing another hare in the distance, and of course Tay tried to join in,but he obviously hadn't got the wind that a saluki cross has. As I look back now, I realise that I was only invited to be made to look a c**t, but they came unstuck, because he did me prou

  3. I also had a invite to course Midge with the Windmill coursing club based in Lincoln where she gave a good account of her self, Ginger French was there that day, and he said "how much Saluki is in her breeding Geoff" I told him none she's a straight grew, he said " no grew can stay that long on a hare, the person who sold her to you told you the wrong breeding" "I told him, they didn't, I bred her myself she's out of Tay"
  4. Bess was the best, but Midge I had a soft spot for her, she gave her all, wether it be knocking afew rabbits over, and unbelievable on hares for a straight whippet greyhound (preban of course) I coursed Bess a couple of times at the East of England Lurcher Coursing Club (Penny Taylor & Stat ran this club) where I was on the commitee for a short while, and she was coursed with Kenny Hall's club for 2 seasons winning their annual coursing stake of £50 plus a cracking trophy, I felt as though I'd won the lottery Mo was used for general mouching and lamping, and was a fair animal.
  5. On the left is Mo then Bess & Midge, Mo was greyhound collie x greyhound saluki, Bess was a mixture of salukie whippet deerhound greyhound, Midge was whippet greyhound x whippet greyhound. I'll try to find afew more out, there's one of our Tay (whippet greyhound) who was invited to run in the Field Fare Challange back in the 90s

  11. Sorry to hear this, but we've just had a litter with our 8 year old bitch(with no problems),and we'd tried twice before with no luck, and she always had weird seasons. Infact, she didn't have a season until she was gone 3 years old. We put her on anti-biotics(a 7 day course) just before we mated her,as this is meant to stop any infections. It may be an old wives tale, but it definately worked for us
