  2. Hi Nope each time I've moved I phoned to give them my new address they just asked me the location of the cabinet and ammo safe and how ive fixed it to the wall then that's that, no one has ever been to check even when upgraded to a larger safe when I went entered the world of fac aswell as sgc,it's supprised me to be honest, the only time I hear from of see a feo is when it's renewal time,my mate has had the same reaction too in the past but apparently when he renewed his sgc earlier this month the feo was rather intrusive regarding questions asking if he argued with the mrs, or did he have
  3. Hi I've moved 3 times over the last 10 years and Derbyshire just update it when I renew or put in a variation, but beside that I informed them without delay on the day I moved or the day after at the latest.i asked why they didn't need to change it on the licence and she said they have the up to date info so that will suffice.the first time I did this I thought it may cause confusion when buying bullets from the gun shop as they record bullets I buy on the sytem but there was no problem I just told them I had moved address and they updated their bullet register, maybe it's different in other ar

  6. I've seen one made this way and it's quite impressive it felt very sturdy, that alcathene type pipe is not cheap he said,I thought of having a go as I could probably lay my hands on nearly all the materials exept the cover but there are a few frames at good prices knocking about I'm not sure if it would be cost effective campared to second hand purpose built frames?it's a good effort though,I'm looking for a second tunnel so maybe I'll try it.hows the taters recovering? Atb 223

  11. Hi If this is the renewal for your fac? yes you need a letter from the farmer granting permission for the specific calibres.you usually get a form with the application pack for you to let him or her sign,if it's ten years ago didn't you have to do this 5 years ago on your last renewal ? As for the open cert you can write a letter or request it with the feo when he calls to see you, even after its opened on your next renewal you still need a permission slip to send in. Atb 223
  12. Hi They will be ok some of my fellow breeders don't use water till the last day so the humidity is what nature says it is,they get very good hatch rates.I put water in all way through, even with vents it's never easy to keep it to a text book figure, don't worry they will be fine,I used to keep checking settings and stuff constantly worrying if the temp was a degree high or the humidity was low when I first started but since then I've experimented with humidity and find as long as its fairly constant the hatch rates don't vary much,on the last 3 days I spray the eggs with a mist of water which

  15. Hi Well now the weather is gettin better things seem to be catching up and the soil is dry enough and some more planting is on going, after being a month behind its looking good, well for now!! Got some more corn in as it was getting pot bound and wouldn't have lasted another week,a few more lettuce and the carrots, they will be better with some good soil around their feet, but the rabbit love them lettuce but the rifle is steadying them down, Martin put the pea row up and fixed the canes ready for the second set The dwarf broad beans are well in flower with tiny pods apearing. The
  16. Spot on foxing cal I find anywhere out to 250yds is not a problem with factory ammo setting inch high at 100 yds as above, that's out my old remi 700 adl Atb 223
  17. Nice set up mate the tunnel is spacey, I wouldn't be without one, now were even thinking of making it two,we have a sheet just need 5 rings to erect it,good luck for the rest of the season, even if we're a month behind due to bad weather, things will catch up though as usual, 223
  18. Cheers trappa, there's alot to go at and It's tough going even for two of us but it's a life I wouldn't change,it's a shame work gets in the way, wish I could retire at 35 lol I know wat I could be doin with the free time,I'll get a arial pic from my mates attic it's took years and years to get it manageable with a few hours a day, sometimes I look and think holy shit this will finish me off hand weeding this lot . I liked the asparagus bed, how is it comeing on? Atb
  19. Hi Well there is plenty to put in but just can't get going due to the weather, managed to get a few raised beds made the other week as what had been rotavatored was a bog, This year in the raised beds is a bit of experimentation with parsnip and other long root veg, a second crop will be added to the garden just incase, the spuds are through and I managed to get things going well in the tunnel, plenty of lettuce In one of the green house I put the toms in bags Soon as it's dry enough we will be busy there must be 50 trays or stuff to go in asap Have fun Atb 223
  20. Hi Don't read into things too much it makes you worry about everything,In the last 10 years I've only ever had one instance of red mite during a humid summer month,a stringent clean de louse the birds I think about 40 back then and touch wood to date it's never returned,I use jeys fluid twice a year and spray the Eve's and next boxes and de louse the birds, that seems to keep the mites and flea at bay, regards worming I mix a bit of garlic powder in the food and cider vinegar in the water and they do good,no loose droppings etc, regular inspections of the birds keep your mind at ease,
  21. ????????? What a load of cods wallop, I wonder how much he's payin that feo to give him more time to find the offending gun lol wish my feo was as easy to persuade,I would be lamping with a 50 cal poking out the window It's too much to take in,
  22. Hi I have a remi 700 in 223 if you get some decent glass for it and a good mod and you won't look back, easy 200+ yds with factory ammo, I pay £12 for 20 remi rounds and they perform great in my rifle.so not expensive and if you think about re loading that makes it cheaper,I don't bother but many do,hmr is ok but nothing compared to the 223, Atb
  23. Hi Wat a pain in the behind,It's a new one to me too, When I first ever applied for fac mine was closed on all calibres at that time,I had 22lr and 17 hmr, on the interview day the feo said normally I wouldn't be granted open condition till my first renewal, (Derbyshire) anyway 8 months later I wrote in and asked for it opened, the letter came back with a list of reasons why he wouldn't open it, those including low usage of ammo which was a load of cobblers,I didnt shoot thousands of rounds a week but i shot my fair share of bullets by no stretch of the imagination, also lack of experience /
