  1. Hi I think they are ok now and then I have a couple of them and have had some cracking days with the magnets over the years bringing in a fair few decent bags on clover and drillings but mainly laid crops but on the onher hand it has spoilt what could have been a belter quite a few times,I wouldn't throw them in the bin as they can do well but more often than not I just use the bouncers, Experiment mate as it certainly won't work if u don't try it, good luck 223
  2. Hi If he has good reason and land to shoot,I don't see the problem,I could understand if they wanted to put a mentoring condition but not an outright no and can't continue with the application, how he supposed to gain experience without a fac,, we all had to start somewhere, I think they are being bang out of order and he should fight it all the way, hope it gets sorted Atb 223
  3. Don't worry mate they would have brought up any concerns regarding you getting the fac during the interview, Like tegater says its all but signed sealed and the best bit delivered Atb 223

  7. Me and a mate had a couple of hours on stubble from a cut field today, not a massive bag but enjoyable,12 retrieved and 6 or 8 lost in the in cut field next door to it,if we had hit every bird I'm guessing 40 would have been about the total for two hours shooting, Even a few breasted for tea tonight Even a fat one that I think came in straight from someone's bird table lol We usually get some good bags from this 50 acre patch so a few more to be had yet Atb 223

  10. Hi As the lads say its not likely but it's not unheard of and I know a couple of lads who got it opened from the start one was a close Nate who applied at the same time as me,I'm Derbyshire and he's south Yorkshire, mine was closed but his opened for 22lr .17 hmr and .223 cf, it took me 6 months to get it opened on the same calibres,I just kept ringing and asking and writing letters to get land checked I think the hassle of it changed their mind, also telling them reason why they wouldn't open was not justified, this time no response back but I open cert in the post, thats a few years ago but ju

  12. Hi TC I'm going to use one to start off and the other for toms, cucumber etc with so much space to fill up, the green houses soon get full to burst with seedlings and pottings on,but one tunnel is going to be just for growing,if there's a space to grow something in its usually filled up lol don't like wasted space and unfortunately this year it's been in avoidable with the bad rains,,there's nowt better than fresh vag mate Atb
  13. Hi Not much of a story but for md it's a real nice memory, this apple tree was planted from a pip back when I was 7 years old by me and my late grandad,I'll never forget tha day I planted it and watched it grow every day after school,it seemed like I took so long,I remember grafting a bit of tree to it when I was about 10,the apples were not great though lol but edible,my grand parents have passed on years ago but I just called next door to where they lived and took these pics,a bit of a memory lane moment, Atb 223

Hi B My lass has a horse ( bloody things lol) and I leave a trailer in the field so all the horse girls can fill it,then I just Rotavator it all in all the time, The spuds are rocket, marris piper ,javelin, snd there is one more but can't remember it I'll ask Martin tomorrow, they are a good size but not great with all the rain we've had they boil down too fast, regards the seeds beans, all brassicas beet root, pea, leek, basically everything exept carrot and spuds are sown in the tunnels,it saves time and gives everything a good start,it's a all year round sowing really, I sell eggs and seedl
  17. Hi I get no bother about the cocks I've got a few with the two outside and a few English game inside sheds so its a bit noisy lol people who live across the road tend to not hear them as there used to it they have been there a fair few years now,the only person to moan a bit was my mother as she lives opposit but I can live with that mate,I'm well happy with the gardens it's took half my life to get there but if this is what all the hard work gives me them sod it I'll just keep at it,when my mate finally packs up I don't know how I'll do it all by my self, but I'll keep going, trouble is I'm

A bit further today Laid the sheet to warm in the sun and be a bit more pliable While we dig the trench all the way round Then dragged the sheet over with the help of the lads Just stretching the plastic A bit more folding With the help of the new chip n dales lol Well just about done just the doors to hang and sheet up then staging to add After that I hand weeded the onions in the lovely sun A productive day Atb 223
  19. Hi How long u had your fac, If its for a while and with the pesty job I think you've got a justified reason for asking for it to be opened asap the forces vary on times before their opened but not everyone has the job where a open cert would possibly help them get more work, ring the feo and ask them and get the answer first hand mate, Good luck with the job Atb 223
  20. Hi TC That looks great u can tell there's some effort gone into it, I like the stone wall bed,my wall building is terrible mate, the onions are comeing on by the looks of it,hope the season does you well, its planned out, Atb 223

  23. Hi The corn does just as good to be fair I used to put it in blocks too but after trying it this way a year or two ago it takes up less space and still produces as much, could have put it in big blocks this year as the garden is normally just about full by now, the weather put stop to that, plenty of room for winter stuff,I find there's no hard fast rules about growing, just that it will either grow or it won't and there's sod all we can do about it lol Atb
  24. How do Well the garden is nearly workable now the rain has eased and stuff seems to have started to catch up,not fully by no stretch of the imagination but all hope is not lost anymore, we had a bit of good fortune the other week when. Fella gave me and Martin these polly tunnel rings and supports, all that was missing was the long top bar and leg extensions but we managed to get some for a steal at £20, I made the clips and brackets at work while i had no breakdowns on late shift, we already had a spare sheet in storage for the present tunnel All wire brushed and paint
